Booked a show and dinner here for a birthday. We were the only Irish people at the show as every one else seemed to be American tourists. Which is a bit of a shame that us Irish seem to miss out on a lot of our own culture. Anyway the food was excellent and the traditional Irish music, dance and... More

This was our last night in Ireland, and it was our "farewell" dinner (we were an alumni group, on a 8-day bus tour of Ireland), and I must say the organisers chose well. The food was good, but the entertainment was fantastic. Great music and great Irish dancing. They did not mind us taking photos and videos, and we took... More

Dismal food. Crab croquettes were mostly potatoes. Main course had sea bass which was not fresh, over salted risotto was inedible, frozen vegetables? Partner had burger which he described as tasteless and soggy frozen chips. Won't be back.

Food - great food, I had the chowder which was packed full of flavour and seafood followed by the beef which was delicious and fell apart and to finish a classic hearty apple pie. I was really impressed that when catering on mass (over 30 People on my table) so much flavour was packed into the food. Entertainment - the... More

Spent the evening with Friends at The Merry Ploughboy and we had such an enjoyable time. A few months ago as we were planning a trip over the Thanksgiving holiday, we googled places that serve Traditional Turkey Dinners. The package included shuttle pick-up, Set dinner and traditional Irish music and entertainment. The meal was delicious and included all the traditional... More

The Merry Ploughboy is always a fine place to visit with a wonderful cosy interior, great food, great pints and great music particularly over the weekends. Well worth the trek out of town or on the way back from exploring the nearby mountain trails.

Right from word go, the people running this Venue were friendly. From the lady who greeted my friends and I at the door, to the people serving our meal , the entertainers and finally the lady who ordered our taxi home. The meal was superb. Plenty of choices on the menu and considering there must have been about 300 people... More

I came in a bit late for lunch but had the pumpkin and sweet potato soup with brown bread, a side of chips and a coffee. It was really nice and great service even though the bar man seemed to be serving on his own.
