We went her for afternoon tea on a Sunday. We were seated immediately upstairs. A gorgeous room which was like being back in time! The staff were fantastic! Friendly and genuine. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea. Definitely will be back again. A must!

Went here with 2 of my friends today. We decided we'd treat ourselves to afternoon tea. €15 per person. Everything was tiny. It was nice and fresh but we had to get more food afters as it didnt fill any of us. The popcorn tea was really tasty though. Think next time I'll get tea and a cake rather than... More

This place has a great vibe to it. The china, the little sugar cube bowls, the interior, it all adds to the old-timey vibe of the place. I had a very tasty and unique soup and had a great chat to the friendly waitress about what the soup was made from, she was only too happy to be informative. I... More

We had "full Irish" breakfast there. It's a charming place and the food and service were both just perfect. The waitress was exceptional - and helped with my friend's walking aid and getting comfortably seated, which a lot of people are reluctant to do. We really enjoyed ourselves and felt quite spoiled. Prices were reasonable. Will go back for afternoon... More

A really cute little shop does breakfast all day on the weekends, it was really lovely but slightly over prices, 9.50 for one pancake is really a bit much although it was lovely

A nice change from the pubs. A very wide selection of teas and delicious cakes to suit all diets (paleo, gluten free, dairy free etc). The staff were very friendly.

Thought going here would be a treat! It turned out to be a punishment. Cramped into the restaurant with tables on top of each other to start with. Ordered 2 afternoon teas and on serving it declared we could have more of anything else, just ask. We quickly got through the 4 tiny triangles of sandwiches each, (single filling only)... More

Every time I happen to be in Galway, a tea at Cupan Tae is a must. Surrounded by an Alice in Wonderland atmosphere, you'll experience a travel in time and taste (there s wifi to instagram everything, don't worry): delicious homemade scones and cakes + an endless choice of loose leaf teas served in porcelain pots and cups on linen... We stopped off here for afternoon tea. Well a cuppa and a cake really. I had chocolate biscuit cake my partner had walnut cake. I went for Assam tea and my other half went for the more adventurous red rose tea. In fact both were delicious as were the cakes. The setting may be a little twee for some tastes... More
