Wow - where to begin. From the wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, to the delicious food and equally delicious tea!!! What a great place to choose to spoil yourself. An absolute treat to experience and would recommend it to anyone whether a tea lover or not. Plus you can then purchase the tea to take home and enjoy again and... More

Went in after reading the good reviews. I can honestly say it lived up to the standards. The tea was lovely and there is a good selection of it. Quite a nice selection from the lunch menu - a little small but enough. The staff is friendly. The lady that served us what very helpful and so welcoming.

What an exciting find!!! Great place to sit and relax while trying different teas and treats to go along! Staff is very friendly! Don't forget to buy the tea you had or maybe another you thought about while looking at the menu. If I find myself back in Galway this is always going to be a stop!!!

Well I felt like I was thrown head-first into a chapter of Alice in Wonderland as soon as I walked in but I love a little bit of escapeism so no complaints from me. Coffee cake was incredible. Clearly great effort and creativity was thrown into the tea menu down to the names of the blends themselves. I went for... More

We have visited many times and we always enjoyed the food and ambience. We called in for afternoon tea and when we asked for a fresh pot of tea we were told that we would be charged extra, The premises is very cluttered with little space to walk between tables and no room to stand while waiting to pay the... What a charming and olde worlde teashop in Galway city. Old-fashioned style and tablecloths and bone china crockery. Matched and mismatched crockery, delicate teacups and cake stands. An amazing selection of teas, all served in individual bone china teapots with individual timers for the "correct" brew. Maybe it's me, but I don't like being told exactly three or four minutes... I enjoy the treats as well as the attitude of the girls working there! Home made cakes and several types of tea!

I LOVE tea. I stopped-by with a friend. He and I enjoyed the tea and pastries. We first had to choose from a lengthy menu of tea. We had to be instructed by the staff how to brew the tea (they provide timers and different brewing methods). Then we had to determine which fresh-baked pastry we wanted. My friend chose... More

I understand that I went during a busy time. The space is crammed with tables, with very little room between tables. We had some poor service as well. I don't know how the food and drink was because it was so crowded, busy and bad service we left.

This little gem of a restaurant had tempted me the first time we traveled to Galway but I wasn't able to get there in time to enjoy it! The next time we were lucky enough to pass through I insisted that we have tea and cake in this delightful little spot. It has that old time feel of a ladies'... More
