We decided to eat at the Front Door after shopping in Galway, I ordered the Steak sandwich with a pint of hop house 13 and my girlfriend had the special chicken wrap, the first pint I received was completely flat and almost warm, so I asked for another which was much better, could have been an oversight ! But the... More

Hi danny1984785, We just read your post and needless to say we're disappointed to hear your visit to The Front Door wasn't at the standard expected. As you can see from our reviews we normally receive such positive feedback for both our food menu and drinks. It could have been just a very busy time for the kitchen, which isn't... More

Ended up here and got a table in the first bit of the cafe; the old shop. Perfect atmosphere and such friendly personel. Had a great time, sorry we had to go cause we could have stayed in our nook/at the bar for some time. When in Galway: must!

Brilliant Spot - looks a bit deceptive from the outside you would think it was a small Old man's bar but keep walking and you will find a huge Bar over two floors! Staff all exceptionally friendly and very professional. Food absolutely to die for. Music at night time is also brilliant. Everything you could want in a Pub you... More

A very lively yet friendly pub with restaurant. We stayed only for a few beers as we were dining elsewhere that night but would have come back had we the time.

great local haunt. Inside is a warren of different bar and eating areas avoiding a feeling of being too big, by having lots of attractive nooks and crannies.great place to meet for a drink - we haven't eaten there so not sure about the food options

Had a stay in Galway city recently with my wife. Stumbled across this place, and decided to have some early evening bar food. It was a great decision. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. They have v GD young waitresses. The bar is a number of bars over a few floors, with loads of little nooks and crannies. It's... More

I'd popped in for a drink one evening and returned the next day for a birthday celebration with my daughter. The Cajun chicken pasta was wonderful and my husband raved about the lamb burger. A must stop in Galway.
