Lovely farm to table concept right next to the Spanish Arch. Went to brunch wife my wife and enjoyed a lovely snug. You can feel the quaint Irish history as you enjoy a wonderful meal.

Have eaten in Ard Bia on numerous occasions for lunch. The menu changes regularly and the food is always delicious and very reasonably priced for lunch. This is a great location and service is always good.

I've been here a couple of times and have found that the staff on the floor have been rude and a little obnoxious each time. It was almost like they resented you being there and were not in the least helpful and if you asked them something they gave the impression that it was inconveniencing them. This seems to be... We had a tough time choosing a restaurant in Galway. So many great ones to choose from and only one night in town. Ultimately we came here after a friend in Dublin suggested it and we are glad they did. It was pretty small, but intimate next to the Spanish Gate right along the water, though we didn't have a... Have been here several times and have always been happy with the food and the service. Bought some lovely homemade brown bread and preserves to bring home.

Just happened upon this really lovely restaurant when out walking. We just had desserts and coffee but ended buying some preserves and drinks to take home as well!

We had a wonderful time at Ard Bia.Very friendly and efficient staff. From the drinks on offer right to the coffee and tea everything was great : wonderful main (simple ingredients but great taste, texture and look), good cakes as deserts, and lovely alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages on offer. They certainly love food there, want people to enjoy food and... More

Nice food but too cramped & too expensive. Good location but once you're inside you could be anywhere, you can't tell you're sitting alongside the Spanish Arch & the River Corrib, such a pity.

Made the detour into Galway city en route from Connemara to Dublin just to cheer ourselves up at the lovely Ard Bia. The weather may have been wintry outside but the mezze plate was a sunny little piece of middle eastern heaven. The beetroot hummus, the pickles and the leaves were zingingly fresh and delicious. I defy anyone to find... More

Ofcourse we had not made a reservation in rainy Galway but the guys at Ard Bia gave us a warm welcome and a stool at the bar. Very attentive people and excellent food. Do try the lobster risotto, heavenly! Although it was filled up they had plenty of time for their customers. This is a very cosy treasure and after... More
