Food is unreal here only gave it 4 as the draught in the door made place quite cold if they had heater on would be 10/10

The four of us all had steaks, two ribeye, one sirloin and one fillet. All excellent, succulent and cooked brilliantly by ourselves on the hot stones!!! Marvellously served with sides, condiments and sauces on the one platter. Super meal in a restaurant with a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable ambience. Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon this place (trying to find an open pub on Good Friday) and ended up having a great meal. The atmosphere is cool, too. The only negative was that our server (who was great) ended her shift and the remaining server, an older gentleman, ignored us.

Just been and I have to say the food was excellent. Went for the early bird menu and had the steak which comes seared and then you cook to your liking on a hot lava stone. Absolutely beautiful steak. Had soup for starter and cheesecake for dessert. Both were also good. Waiter was professional and attentive and service was great.... More

Was here today for lunch, great food but unfortunately we were a little put off by a less than polite waiter. Maybe it was just a bad day for him...

If you are in Galway, don't miss this place! We each had the Asian salad and fish of the day (hake). We topped it off with creme brûlée (the best we've ever had) and eton mess. Truly the best desserts I have ever tasted! Great service and amazing food!!

We went here for a family late lunch, 3 kids and 9 adults. The restaurant itself is small but you don't feel cramped. There is only one high chair, this wouldn't be a very child friendly restaurant and there is no baby changing facilities! We ordered the chicken nuggets and chips for our little lady and it was delicious, the... More

We decided to try out this restaurant again due to our great experience last time. Being a Saturday night, the whole city was thronged with people. Walked in the door and David greeted us like old friends (surprised he remembered us). Already we were happy. Didn't have to wait long for a table upstairs. The girls serving our table were... More

Visited Gemelles restaurant in the heart of Galway City. Pre-booked for 5.30 and had early bird menu 2 courses x 20e. My wife and I had starter and had main course of hake and it was excellent-tasty, well presented and the food was to the standard of a 5* restaurant. The decor and and furnishings are exceptional and I highly... More

After walking a considerable bit of the Latin Quarter, we wanted to grab a decent meal before heading back to our hotel. We walked right past Gemelles only to turn around because 'something' lured us back up the street. We arrived a bit before the dinner rush and were able to enjoy the cozy setting and eat a leisurely dinner... More
