I had a wonderful evening here with my wife. The staff were very professional and knowledgeable about the menu. I had a 12oz fillet steak, which was delicious cooked to perfection. That was the standard size which is unusual as I find it’s normally an 8 or 10oz offering elsewhere. There was a nice little touch in providing a small brown loaf gratis before the starter. The starter of avocado and crab was great along with the dessert tapas. The bill was very reasonable and I would say you would travel a long way to find such quality dishes, professional servers and restaurant atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed with this place and I don’t know it has been kept under the radar. The venue is a credit to Sligo.

We ate in the bar and the food was so so nice. The bread that they bring to the table was absolutely fab, it was warm as if straight from the oven and served with butter and Jam, we had to stop eating as we wouldn't be able to our dinner, but they gave us tin foil so we could wrap and take home. i had the ribs and bruschetta and my partner had the the lamb shank, both the ribs and lamb shank fell off the bone, the meat was so tender. The bruschetta was the best I have ever had as it was warm bread, slightly crunchy on the outside and warm and doughy in the middle. We also had ice-cream for dessert but the flavours were so tasty and natural. It was probably on the pricey side but it was worth it as the food is delicious. I will definitely be back when I visit sligo again.

While on holiday we found this restaurant convenient as it is nearby the hotel we were staying at. As soon as you order you get a fresh loaf of soda bread with butter and chili jam as a complimentary starter.we tried the traditional fish and chips which was ok.The seafood platter was a bit disappointing as I found the fish to be tasteless apart from the salmon which was really good. On another visit I ordered mussels and I have to say were the best I’ve ever had, fresh , plump with a touch of lemon grass which complemented the flavor of the mussels. The chowder was also very good ,full of fish and very filling.

I booked a table for Saturday night (booked on the 26th Sept at 14.45). I actually double checked I had rang the right place while they failed to find my booking. We were accommodated in the cottage, which was a far cry from the restaurant which I had requested. Starters were nice, we got the tomahawk for mains. It came with way too many sides and we didn't really want the bottle of wine and came away with 3/4 of it still in the bottle. I wouldn't order it again as its such a waste, a steak each would have been better. Only for we were away for the weekend I nearly walked out when I seen the area we were in. So so disappointed after picking it as a Christmas present for my partner. The waitress although lovely clearly had too many tables to serve and so we were left with dinner plates in front of us for about 15 mins, and my partner was waiting to order a drink for longer. Also the exit has two steps down and its a narrow entrance so it was difficult enough with a pram so it wouldn't have been easy in a wheelchair. We paid restaurant prices for food in a pub setting, for the money we paid it was not worth it.

The restaurant that we would usually go to was closed so we went on over the street to Coach Lane. The previous visit here was over a year ago and we were quite pleased. Not this time! It was early so we took the bar menu. Expensive, I thought. We passed on the starters and I ordered my staple, fish and chips. The fish was top quality and cooked as I like it. The side salad was disappointing. Big chunks of raw carrot was the main constituent and that turned me off. The chips, potatoes unpeeled, were not up to standard and inadequately cooked. They needed at least one more trip to the fryer. My wife's mince stuffed potatoes were adequate, but with the same salad, big chunks of raw carrot. I commented to the waitress that the fish was perfect but the rest was disappointing and was offered a complimentary tea or coffee, which was declined. We ordered one desert, a selection of minis. They were perfect. I noticed on the bill afterwards that the desert was not charged. So, all in all, I suppose not too bad an outing. But it shouldn't be too difficult to get the staples of chips and salad fairly close to perfect.

Took my partner here for her birthday. Food was simply brilliant large portions the fillet steak was out of this world. our waitress provided the best customer service I ve personally ever experienced in a restaurant so polite and helpful. Even put a sparkler in our desert as they remembered it was my partners birthday. Any time I'm in sligo I'll be making sure to visit here. Brilliant.

Coach lane has always been my favourite restaurant in Sligo. The homemade bread, fresh fish & super tender beef have always been top notch. Unfortunately our meal at the weekend fell way below par. Firstly our waitress spilled a container of sauce on the floor which went all over my girlfriends shoes & jeans. The waitress was very apologetic & very embarrassed & of course mistakes happen. We felt really bad for her & tried to make her feel better about it. The front of house lady unsympathetically handed my girlfriend a dish cloth to clean herself & barely offered an apology. Next we got our mains. The fillet steak (from the restaurant menu) was like rubber when you would expect a fillet to be like butter. The flavour was off. Our sirloins (from the cheaper bar menu) by comparison were cooked to perfection. Then the bill: 240 euro for 5 people. We didn’t all get starters. We got 1.5 rounds of drinks. We got 1 desert. And nothing off the bill for the spillage. Way overpriced for a substandard meal. It’ll be a while before we venture back.

We were searching for a restaurant for an evening meal and came across Coach Lane. Although we had no booking and it seemed as if every table was reserved the owner(?) said he could give us an hour. We were a bit doubtful about rushing but I have to say we still had a relaxing and tasty meal. We were first served home baked bread, half and half with two different flavours. Delicious. My husband’s steak was cooked to perfection and my grilled chicken salad was the nicest I’ve had in a long time. A nice glass of wine and a tiramisu finished off the meal nicely and we were out just in time. The waiting staff were pleasant and the kitchen, visible from the table, was spotless and efficient. I would definitely recommend the Coach House and the chef.

The food was perfect, we got the Sirloin Steak and the Spaghetti Bolognese. Both were delicious, for dessert we had the tapas selection and the brownie. The servings were plentiful. Would highly recommend this restaurant/pub if you're in Sligo. A nice tough was the homemade brown bread that they give you on the house as the owner created the recipe himself. Alli went above and beyond to make our experience memorable.

This restaurant promised to be really good. We started of with delicious freshly baked onion bread with butter and chilli jam. Really tasty! Monk fish with lentils was very disappointing...fish was delish but lentils were actually inedible ...so salty and tasted as if from a packet. My friend had liver with a very nice red wine sauce but it was a case of quantity over quality. Our complaint about the lentils was handled with a free dessert...not great really! The place is lovely and quirky and the staff are very attentive. It could be excellent with some attention to quality of ingredients!

We were a group of 12 golfers at 2 separate tables visiting in sept. From start to finish the quality of food and service was excellent. We just found it a little pricey but when you get that sort of quality we didnt mind. It was much better value than cheaper subsequent meals we had in other restaurants in sligo that weekend.

We had dinner in Donaghy’s bar. The staff are friendly. Fantastic variety of drinks available. Bae menu options are a bit limited but that’s expected with a bar menu. Ordered garlic bread and nachos for a starters, the nachos were big enough they could have been the main meal. You also get complimentary loaf of homemade bread. Delicious! Would definitely recommend

Booked in advance after reading trip advisor reviews. Well worth the visit. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was lovely and they give you their homemade bread complimentary to taste, which was gorgeous. My friend got the mussels and an expresso martini which she raved about. They also got us a cab very quickly. Would recommend

Group of 4 , great service and great food in these odd times . It’s an upscale place and prices match that but I really enjoyed it and will be back . They do a deal with a tomahawk steak for 2 for 50pp and that’s with all sides and a bottle of wine which was a great deal . Staff were excellent and setting is perfect . Will be back P.s Guinness was also great here

I ate in the downstairs section on Sunday last having been given a few kid free hours with my partner. We ordered the fish taco for 17 euro and the nacho chilli con carne for 15. The chilli was edible but not that tasty. The fish taco was a fish and chip in a small wrap. Both the fish and chips were barely edible they were so greasy. It was very unpleasant. I said it to the waitress who apologised but seemed very uninterested. Nice ambience in the place but l wouldn't darken its door again.
