Proper traditional cafe with very extensive menu. Staff all friendly and welcoming. As with all good places it is full of locals. We both had English breakfast and Earl Grey tea. Not fast food and worth a short wait as food is freshly prepared and plentiful. This is a good find. There's also steaks on the menu!

Not many cafes like this left in Bolton. Good old fashioned Bolton grub. Great portions. Friendly down to earth staff. Good prices. Go whenever I can.

Staff very friendly and food nice, average size portions for the price, too much choice if I'm being honest and could hear the microwave pinging. But chips were delish. Think the kids enjoyed theirs a lot more than we did ours. Little bit dated but doesn't take away from the service or adequate food.

Staff here are very friendly, and the place feels like someone's living room. There is a very nice, cosy feel about it and everything is reasonably priced. The coffee was a bit weak and mechanical, but can't have everything! Love the cuckoo clock on the wall too!

Having eaten at Cafe Vienna many times, and as we were in Bolton, my wife and I decided to call for lunch. We arrived about mid-day and were immediately seated at one of the 12 tables which are very close and cramped. We ordered tea and coffee and as there was a 'Credit Crunch' offer on of Steak and Kidney... More

Have to say this is the first time I have been to this cafe and I was not disappointed, the menu is extensive and very reasonably priced but as I was on lunch from work I chose a quick Egg and Chips which was delicious for such a simple meal, the chips were proper chips which made it all the... Go here quite regularly. Always lovely home cooked food and extremely good value for money. Nothing bad I can say. The breakfast is a must.

My wife and I decided to treat our friends, one of whom was celebrating a birthday, to a meal at the Cafe Vienna. As usual the meal was excellent value with large portions and obviously home cooked. I made the mistake of ordering the half chicken dinner. I say mistake because the portion was enormous with two huge pieces of... More

Have been there several times and always satisfied. Food is typical home cooked family fare and if you want something fancy this is not the place. However if you want a substantial meal, well prepared, and served in a friendly fashion then well worth a visit. Parking can be difficult as café is situated on a main road with yellow... More
