This pub has a great garden, some of it covered, and beautiful outside lighting and planting. Food is ok but not great. I had a burger which was very rubbery and my daughter had calamari which were nice but came as a very small portion for the price. Lovely place to sit outside for a drink on a sunny evening.

Great food and atmosphere, would be nice to pop to the local more often. But it's quite expensive and is more of a treat than a regular occurrence.

We had lunch here on bank holiday and were really impressed. Service was friendly and the food came quickly and was a good standard. It is maybe a touch pricey but it is the only pub in the area. Good job it is a nice one!

Meals were OK, but expensive for what they were. They had run out of pasta for a child meal! Salmon 'special' did not come with anything apart from some green beans, when I queried this they supplied a dish of potato salad - not quite what was expected! The fish and chips were good, although the chips had seen better... More

I really wanted to like this the chineham arms, I'm told it used to be brilliant. When I went, the staff couldn't have been less helpful, nothing was available from the menu and when the food did come it was, to say the least poor. It may have been a busy weekend so I'm not going to give just 1... More

Called in for a quick refreshment (small Diet Coke & mineral water) charged over £5-00p extortionate prices! And to top it off used disabled toilet facilities (absolute disgusting ( smelt foul ,toilet seat loose ,and toilet tissue holder empty, someone to lazy to refill tissue holder as tissue left on toilet cistern along side a bottle of hand soap ,and of... We have lived in Chineham for years and often go here for drinks and on occasion in years gone by food too. Came down with the family for lunch on the 4th of July. Ordered two drinks, children's fish and chips and two Greek salads. Children's meal was fish with some skinny fries (no chips) had to ask them to... More

Visited yesterday for the first time in about 2 months and what has happened! As soon as I walked in I felt a dreadful atmosphere, not the family and friendly pub it used to be. Staff had no customer service and it felt that I wasn't welcome at all! Prices higher than ever before and the food menu, well what... More

We recently visited this pub on Friday for lunch and was amazed at the 'welcome' we got! From the outside it looked lovely well kept gardens etc, then you walk through the door and you receive the most unwelcoming welcome, you get a half hearted smile and a look of 'what do you want'.. The 2 older female employees seem... More
