I've literally just come back from here after having Sunday lunch with the family. After reading mixed reviews on here we decided to give it a go. BIG MISTAKE!!!! For my starter I ordered deep fried Brie, I came out completely uncooked, basically a solid block of Brie with greasy batter dripping off. The waiter quickly took it back and... More

We had Sunday lunch at The Fox and Hounds, trying the roast beef and the roast lamb. The portions were really generous and the food very well-cooked. The roast potatoes were so nice and there was an excellent range of vegetables to go with the meat. We both had a dessert, choosing from a range of traditional hot puddings and... More

Called in here with my husband for lunch today after an 8 mile walk from Elmley Castle. I had two very muddy border collies with us but we were made to feel welcome. This is a traditional old pub with some flag stone floors and lots of beams. The selection of ale is good and the food menu extensive. My... More

This has for years been a particularly favourite pub of some old friends who live nearby. Just experienced it for the first time. Lovely old building, lovely personal service, nice food, well prepared and presented. Recommended indeed - with the lovely and historic old church of St Giles just a hundred yards or so further along the street also recommended... More

A large party of us including a table of children and the food was really hot and plentiful and fresh. The service was laughable and this isn't the first time I've seen this. Considering we spent 300+ pounds when the owner came in at 4.30, saw we still there, and huffed and puffed because she wanted to close up, it... More

Small lunch menu with some interesting specials. The liver and onions and mash dish was well presented but came without vegetables. Husbands fish dish was very bland and reminded him of boiled fish. His vegetables had been microwaved and were dry and wrinkly. Coffees afterwards were fine. Could not recommend to friends, as entrance from car park was dirty, and... More

We often visit the village and pub and enjoy the evening meals. This evening we ordered items from the specials board and were very satisfied. I am surprised to read comments that the interior is "tired", as far as I am concerned the interior provides the expected ambience for an old country pub. The only thing which jarred rather was... There are two pubs in Bredon and this is the more food focussed of the two. Having said that, it also serves a very good pint of real ale and the service is excellent It also has a rural, welcoming atmosphere and is a good place to go for a special occasion. In recent years it has become more popular... More

Wonderful food in this country pub. I come fairly regularly and would like to see a few changes on the menu. The staff are perfectly polite and lovely but need a bit more training in wine service. Love this place and want it to carry on succeeding as a pub with a great reputation for food.
