The bar is decent really, average kinda prices. just over three quid for a pint of lager. Nice seated area upstairs. The venue downstairs can turn into a sweat box if theres enough people down but its a great place to see local and small touring bands play in an intimate setting.

Right OK, We stayed in the hotel next door and called for a drink while friends were getting ready. Guy behind the bar is a friendly character and makes you feel welcome, the beers were cold and nice. If you like Chrome, Glass and laminate floors this maybe isn't the bar for you.

Excellent bar with awesome polite staff, local customers was also friendly people and ready to talk with strange lad's from Finland. We also eat breakfast in one morning and was delicious traditional English breakfast. Some program all most every evening, also pool table. Back here when ever I'll be in Manchester.

Was staying at the Pendulum hotel and wandered out and saw the RetroBar on the corner. Walked in brass rails at the bar and the sort of atmosphere I find in good local village type bars where everybody is friendly from customers to the staff. The only food served is a breakfast in the morning. Open mic sessions that evening... More

Me and my wife went to a gig here last week. What a fantastic venue , with friendly staff. I lost my wallet here, and realised 10 minutes after leaving, I called in a faint hope it had been handed in, but the manager himself found it and was returned with every penny still in. An honest quality place where... More

Was a handy pub as it was right next door to our hotel and much cheaper than hotel prices for a drink. Although in much need of decoration and refurb, was friendly with a few locals.

I go to Retro to watch Bands in tge downstairs venue, and not to eat there... As a venue it is a decent little space,a few obscuring pillars and the bar could do with being stocked better, but it ddoes have a certain charm about it..

I would always recommend this place to anyone, it's not a upmarket bar but more... More

Went in for breakfast, it was crap. Really crap. The service was terrible as well. Everything is dirty, don't even attempt to go in the toilets. Honestly just avoid it like the plague.
