We needed a drink and this was the first place we came across; lucky for us. The bar man greeted us with a very upbeat 'hello'. We got to sample the beers before we tried, we had a really good Camden white beer and a fine stout. Bar man was super friendly and chatty. The best thing we had was... More

Title pretty much covers it. The venue is lovely, the staff all friendly and helpful. Sadly after sampling all 4 ales available, in my humble opinion, they were all crap. And at >£5 a pint, exceedingly disappointing. Haven't tried the food.

I went here with my boyfriend for a chilled Friday meal- arrived ~9pm and the place was lively but we still got served fast. Music was American/Latin style, potentially abit too loud if you're looking to have a quiet night but I enjoyed it. Good quality food-I'd say 8/10 , with a few dishes tasting lower quality- slightly chewy meat... More

I've always had a soft spot for this place as it is named after one of my favourite albums so that goes strongly in its favour! There's lots to like anyway as this is a great city centre bar that always has good atmosphere. The Bar staff are friendly and they have an excellent range of drinks to serve. There... More

Love this place. Staff great, service good and food wonderful. The black rice dish and the paella were especially good. Had several tapas dishes and they were all of an excellent standard. Will definitely visit again.

Came here after going somewhere else and the service not being good and I'm glad we did! Warm welcome on arrival quickly seated and got our drinks. Not too much of a wait for food and it was all very nice and reasonably priced. Have visited quite a few times now and never been let down.

A friend and I had our quarterly catch up recently, and ventured to Sandinista at the recommendation of a colleague of mine. We chose a few tapas dishes including bread with oil, seafood paella, a potato and chorizo dish, plus a jug of zombie cocktail and a jug of sangria. The food was so good! We ordered the most stodgy... More

Called in for a few drinks on a Saturday night & stayed far longer than originally intended as the music & atmosphere were great! Prices were reasonable for wine, quite a bit cheaper than other places we've been to in Manchester. Will definitely come back & try the food next time.

Inspired by a love for music, food, drinks and Latin culturewith the maxim ‘nuestra casa es tu casa’ – our home is your home. And as the Eagles sang...“you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave” MusicMusic is our passion and Joe Strummer is at our heart. The Clash inspired us to name our bar after their 4th album ‘Sandinista’. We play an eclectic mix that covers rock, indie, funk, soul, reggae, 80’s and more. Central American CultureSandinista!s revolutionary theme is influenced by the political movement in Nicaragua - The Sandinista National Liberation Front . They liberated Nicaragua with an oppressive right-wing regime in 1979 to 1990. The Central American influence is carried throughout the Latin inspired food and drink menu as well as the décor. Rock ‘n’ Roll and Food For the SoulIt's more fun to eat in a bar than drink in a restaurant! Our menu focuses on Spanish Tapas. Our dishes embody Sandinista!’s Latin inspired food ethos: simple great tasting cuisine that reflects the culture it was born out of. Drinks (open every day till 3am)Why did the Mexican push his wife off the cliff?...............Tequila!!!!Sandinista!'s impressively stocked bar offers an impressive range of cocktails from the four corners of the globe, our top sellers being fruity, tangy twists on Mojitos, Daiquiris, Mai Tais, Margaritas and Juleps. Our back bar boasts an array of quality tequilas, rums and spirits with a fine selection of beers.
