Thanks for the review, we love hearing that people are enjoying visiting the pub, especially for the food. If you like the curry club, I can highly recommend the Mexican Monday food deal too, it is rather tasty!

Went in for breakfast. Great breakfasts! Historic architectural building, inexpensive Weatherspoons food. Only downside are lots of solitary men nursing their pints at 10am. Wouldnt it be nice for them if they were encouraged to sit together and talk to each other.

Thanks for the review. We think our breakfasts are great value for money too. As for the solitary drinkers, they do talk to each other and there is a lovely sense of community when they all get together.

Have visited this pub for many years,& what we love about it is the excellent choice of real ales,&the friendliness of the staff. In addition the speed of service on food orders is really good,my only reservation would be it could benefit from improved decor.

This is the sort of place that is stuck in time. The place is some what stinky and could really do with a refit. It's a haunt for those who like to start boozing early doors. Overall the place is some a little ruff.More
