What a find!! This restaurant is located in a tiny back street in the Northern Quarter. It's very basic. Food is served at a counter on melamine plates. We had 3 vegetarian dishes with rice and a chapati for £4.00 each!! Our party of 4 unanimously agreed that the food was delicious. You can add onions and chillis to spice... More

I'd heard a lot about This & That cafe and had been meaning to try the food for ages. It's hidden away in the alley way in between Trof and bar 21 on Thomas street. The rice and three is great value for money and seriously tasty. I always like to go for a veg curry but on this occasion... More

Stopped here for lunch and it was a welcome break from all the usual offerings of the Christmas markets. My mum and I ate for £10 great choice and really tasty. We'll definitely visits again :)

Taken so long to write this review, but all I can say is that it's fantastic!!!!!!!! We go almost every other week, and have been for the last two years, and never been disappointed!!! All freshly cooked, home style Indian food - seemingly simple, but delicious every time and never bland!!!!! Simple, clean decor, and brilliant staff! Love going!!!!

Been going here for years. One of the best tasting curries you will have, and the naan breads are fantastic. First glance of the place can be a bit surprising but don't judge a book...

I have been eating here for 30 years and it never fails to satisfay. Brilliant food at an amazing price. Rice and three at lunch tor less than £5 with free water, coriander and chilli is nothing short of sensational. Never been disappointed. Don't come here for posh food come here for genuine curry.

If you are the sort of person who is more really impressed by paying lots of money for Giant Naans on stands, waiters wearing designer suits ,brightly coloured three pot curries and ornamental waterfalls in the entrance then there are loads of places like that in Manchester and Rusholme , the priority here is the food not the decor ,... If you want posh or boutique dining don't go to This and That. If you want really well priced food with a no fuss mentality, then this is right up your street. I've been going there for years, it's never changed, and I will keep going for years to come. End of ;-)

I have been going to this back street Indian Cafe for over 30 years through 4 different owners but the food has always remained the same, fantastic taste with low prices. The curries are basic Indian home cooked curries without any fancy names. It's a chicken curry, it's a lamb and spinach curry or a vegetable curry, etc. Three curries... More
