Visited at the start of January and it was a quiet afternoon, nonetheless the service was as good as if the place was full. Really good food, wine and beers. we all enjoyed it and look forward to coming again.

TL;DR + great food + friendly staff * acceptable prices - a bit too dark for my liking The good: I have been there with a group of colleagues and we had a very enjoyable evening. The restaurant is build into a former church and you can still see the pipe organs amongst other things. The restaurant is split into... More

Enjoyed the bottomless brunch, as much as you can eat or drink from the fixed menu for 2 hours. Beautiful setting and friendly and attentive staff. Not cheap at £45 per person but it does feel like you get your monies worth. Would definitely recommend.

This was a family meal out and we were not disappointed. The food is of the highest standard and the service was excellent. The restaurant is in what use to be the Holdsworth Hall and the old Organ pipes are still visible. The ambience of the restaurant exudes luxury. You will not be disappointed. But it's not cheap

It was my first time in Gaucho but my friends was familiar with it. We both worked in hospitality for long years so our expectations are high but they surprised us. The Hungarian waiter Adam explained all the meat cut and helped my friend choose a perfect red wine with her meal. I could see he has knowledge about the... More

The good: -Food was generally good - steaks were nice and was all well presented - Setting and decor was nice The bad: - tables too close together for price point of restaurant - service was terrible. At first when we turned up everything seemed in order. Greeted by meet and greet team and shown to table. After this it... More

I booked a table for 9.30pm and arrived in good time. We were told to wait at the bar and our table was not even ready until 10pm. At this point I was ready to walk out, but my husband was keen to try the food. No apology for the delay. We were seated upstairs and ordered drinks which did... More

We obviously had steak which was excellent and that lovely green dip with bread. Very expensive but typical of a city centre restaurant. More a place to go for a treat than a weekly visit.
