Having visited recently following recommendations from several Manchester foodies, I have to say I was not disappointed. Eastzeast is another great example of a manchester curry house allowing "Anglisied Indian" food to play second fiddle to their excellent Punjabi fayre. The house special dishes are truly representative of the real food of India with lamb-on-the-bone curries such as the lamb... More

I had wanted to visit eastZeast for ages. I wish that we hadn't bothered. The upstairs bar area is quite nice and the service there was fine. Downstairs is like a tacky canteen. Myself and four friends were squashed into a booth which wasn't really big enough for the five of us and this was made worse by the fact... More

The staff are very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. It's not the cheapest restaurant for a curry but it's well worth the extra cost. The mixed starter platter is absolutely fantastic, and if you order poppadoms they come with about ten different chutneys and dips. The fish curry was possibly the best curry I've ever had, and... The welcome was very warm. you can relax upstairs for a quiet drink which we made a mistake. they took us downstairs and was beyond my imagination. there were nearly 60+ people dining and was noisy. The food and service we had was great and warm. but , if you looking for a quiet and relaxing time then this is... More

So heard all about the restaurant from a friend a regular diner. Cheese seekh kebabs was something different but very tasteful. However main dishes were average and slightly over priced. Service could have been abit better as it was a quiet sunday evening and at most 3 other tables were occupied.

We tend to use other Indian restaurants in Manchester as this one is more expensive. Having dined there again last night, I know can see that actually it is good value as the food is simply excellent. We had a mince and pea curry along with a lamb madras. Both were absolutely excellent and left me scratching my head as... More

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a few years as a colleague had recommended it to me. As others have mentioned, the service is very rushed. The food was absolutely fine but the staff seem to what you in and out ASAP regardless of whether the restaurant is busy or not. I would have no problems visiting... More

My fiancé and I went with another couple to this restaurant after a show in Manchester, instead of having a lovely evening with good food and a couple of drinks , they were only interested in turning tables and after 15 minutes we had already had 2 courses we did ask for a break in which we were told that... Good food however we waited a long time to be seated and there was no one in the restaurant. I was still eating my starter when my mains came out and they started to clear the plates I was eating from, very unprofessional and rude. Felt like they were in a rush for us to eat and leave. Wasn't a... More
