I had high hope going in here because of the fantastic building and history. What i got was a massive let down. Me and my husband went in for a early dinner, after ordering a starter and a main - we were initially asked if we wanted them both served together. I requested they be served individually. Bad Move! After... More

All the drinks are non-brand (Samuel Smith Brewery) but the larger, cider, spirits etc are all very good standard and extremely reasonably priced (we paid £5.30 for 2 pints on Bank... More

This is a very busy pub in a great location, with the cheapest beer in Manchester. It's well worth a visit

There are little alcoves to go and sit in with a larger space up the small staircase, where there is an... More

Watched as a customer made repeated threats and intimidated another group of customers. The bouncer didn't care and waved in a patronising way as the group who had been verbally attacked left. When I spoke to the bouncer and asked for his number to report him he took it off and put it in his pocket. Manager hung up on... More

Saw a guy being openly intimidating towards a black guy. Bouncers shook his hand instead of kicking him out. When asked their response was that it wasn't their problem.

Massive choice of ales. Very cheap drinks in very nice olde world surroundings. One of the oldest pubs in Manchester.
