The food is very typical and tasty. It is also a cheaper choose if compared to many other colmar restaurants.

We visited the Restaurant Pfeffel as we departed the Christmas Market. My wife was pleased that they have some gluten free offerings. She enjoyed the boiled beef and I had the Eisbein with an additional side of sauerkraut. We arrived cold, tired and hungry and left energized and full.

Central location, we take a table on a sunny terace, but I hardly find something light and consistent in the menu, excepts salads. I know that "light/healhy" is not the alsacian way of eating :) Form me the local specialities are greasy and with many curious combinations of ingredients... The girls who served us didn't help either, they didn't know... More

After viewing the museum, we ate at the Pfeffel. It was a nice sunny day and the outdoor seating was allmost full, but there was a table open. I had a pork schnitzel and the wife had a fish terrine and a recommended local wite wine. Good service, decent price.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful lunch here recently. Traditional food and wine choices provided something of interest for all of us. I recommend lunch here!

Went with 8 people and were seated upstairs. Made a reservation which was good idea as the place was really busy. Had a young lady, Julia as our waitress because she spoke English. What a gem, she was friendly, very efficient and professional. The portions were oversized and all of us loved what we ordered. Julia chided us for not... More

The place was full of people. Our waiter was kind, but he looked a bit overloaded, on the rush. Our flambès were nice and overall the environment was alright.

Situated near the Tourist Information Office just off the town centre. This is a really quaint and atmospheric restaurant over several floors. The menu has a good range of dishes including many Alsatian specialities at competitive prices. A good range of wines and beers are offered, but perhaps a little expensive. I particularly enjoyed the Boudin Noir aux Pommes -... More

My colleague and I ate at the Restaurant Pfeffel following a suggestion from a staff member at our hotel. The restaurant is very centrally located and is a really old and beautifully unique building. The food was not complex and nor did it need to be. Good standard of cuisine with very friendly and helpful staff. Be warned the starter... More
