Two of us were hungry for a quiet dinner after wandering the streets of villages along the Wine Road and strolling through Colmar's "Little Venice" in the off-season. We stumbled upon Maison Rouge quite by accident. The menu was simple but intriguing and from what we could see behind the still-closed doors, the staff was as anxious to open up... More

We arrived in the middle of Christmas Market season, the staff found a table for us and we had amazing and delicious regional food. The staff helped us stumble through the French menu and we got exactly what we thought we were ordering and so yum.e we're sad that we were leaving the next day for Strasbourg and would be... More

We had no reservations and were able to grab a seat at around 8 o'clock. The steak dish was good. All dishes were good. The restaurant filled up fast. They started to turn people away shortly after we were seated

This is a nice place in Colmar center offering local (Alsacien) food. It has a tavern like feeling to it. Ideal for cold season. Very cosy. We had the pork on the spit and it was amazing. Apparently they are the only ones that offer this dish in the area. The Choucroute was fine but nothing to write home about.... More

If you order rare steak and get shoe leather, this is not good. Nothing awed me except the architecture. And noisy, better for beer lovers. The dessert didn't redeem the meal either. But very quaint !

Located close to the Market Hall near Petite Venice, we walked past Maison Rouge and were attracted by some different suggestions on the menu board out the front. Walking in , the large leg of ham on the spit made our mouths water. Service was prompt and we were both happy with our serve of ham, one with chips and... More

Four of us were on VBT bicycling trip with stay over in Colmar. Just walked in off the street. Great service and food. Relaxing and cozy atmosphere. One ordered chicken and veal in a pastry. Two had veal cordon bleu. One had the quiche special. Everyone really enjoyed their meal.

A great place to eat. It was recommended to us by a local shopkeeper and she was right.....it is not very 'touristy'. They have a lunch time special menu for €11.50 and it is 3 courses and really looked delicious. We had the famous and typical food of the area....tarte flambé and it was fantastic. They have an extensive menu... More

Restaurant recommended by our hotel and we found the food good. Good variety on menu and reasonable selection of wines, also available by the glass. Found portions to be a very good size. Service good.

We had lunch at this restaurant, lovely welcome, good service and the tarte flambe was SO good, I didn't think I'd get through it all but it wasn't a problem. My husband had one of the specials which was also very tasty. The ham on a spit at the entrance looked and smelt divine.
