If you want to remember your grandma's cooking this is a place to go. Small and friendly. They do not take American Express like most places in France - that is why the 4 stars.

Excellent food, friendly and quick service. Best place I found in that area. The waitress spoke English, French and German and they had all of the traditional local favorites. Good prices too! Highly recommended!

We had no reservation but were lucky to get a table. A small miracle in this tiny and packed place! Everything was so French there: the decoration, the very good Gewurstraminer vendange tardive( excellent!), the menu and the service! A very good experience in specialties from Alsace.

we went to dinner in this restaurant and we couldn t have asked for such a good experience. The restaurant is small and a reservation is needed. The atmosphere is homey and you are cuddled in everything. There is some wait for the food but the wait is well deserved ! The owner is very nice and gives great suggestions.... More

We snuggled up with our toddler at a corner table and enjoyed the best meal of our holiday! Beautiful food and wine, and staff were welcoming and warm.

This is a lovely, little restaurant. The food was delicious. I had boeuf bourguignon (the beef was cooked to perfection and the sauce was rich) and the chocolate fondant (highly recommend this). It has a lovely, traditional feel and the service was perfect.

We were visiting Strasbourg in December, and were arriving on a Sunday. Normally most of the restaurants are closed Sundays. We were lucky to learn that Tante Liesel would be open that evening. The doors opened at 7 pm, and in a matter of 10 minutes, all the tables were filled- not one unreserved table! I had the onion tart... More

Be prepared to squash up but it's well and truly worth it. Wonderful little restaurant serving traditional Alsatian food. "Aunty Liesel" did a magnificent job managing the front of house on her own. All done with a smile. The food is plentiful and hearty. A jolly old night full of Christmas spirit.

We waited a long time for our food, even though we were next in line, And no one else seem to be getting anything either. The whole restaurant appear to have 2-3 staff at most, and it wasn't really adequate. When the meal did arrived, one of them was Luke warm with tasteless bland spatzel, the other dish had more... Dinner for a family of 4 last Sunday. The family run restaurant is completely charming, the food is lovingly prepared and the service is brisk but friendly. The menu has no English translation but the waitress was happy to explain every dish to us and make recommendations being very patient with our fractured French!. It doesn't seat many which adds...
