The food is home made and excellent? for example tartare de saumon with vegetables followed by entrecôte and proper French fries. The experience is enhanced by the surroundings which simulate a school room of the 1960s. Right down to the school reports at the table. I was given a table with a report which said: no efforts made, overall very... More

We randomly stopped here for lunch. It was a grey sidewalk location. Good shade. Pleasant traffic. I tried the duck leg which was wonderfully prepared. Good flavor - and it's hard to get duck non-bleedy and yet not dry. Also enjoyed the frites. Had an espresso to cap it all off. It was quiet in the beginning, but by the... More

A quick find and not regretted. Authentic French meals and a very enjoyable regional red made my first evening in Bordeaux a comforting time. The waitres was all alone and very busy but never lost her charming temper. I'd go there again, for sure.

By chance I had lunch at this awesome place, and it was really nice. Located in a quiet street, I was sitting outside having the great duck salad, with some paté de canard on a brioche. The service is friendly, but the wine a little cold.

This is a school canteen themed restaurant and unfortunately the food reminds me of school dinners (this is not a good thing). I had the special which was a veal dish which was very bland. Staff were friendly and it had a good vibe about it. Cool decorations.

When we arrived this Bistro was empty..."oh no" I thought, "not good for a Friday night." However, within 30 minutes it was full and buzzing with a really lively crowd. Despite being full the waitresses kept pace, and I think everyone was well looked after. The food was fine, won't win any prizes, but very edible and complemented by a... More

We were strolling around the very pleasant, quiet Chartrons hood, looking for someplace for lunch. The black board specials drew us in. Happy they did. Very friendly, efficient Madame, casual homey interior. Quickly filled up with locals. Lots if kissing. We both had cream of leek soup and pintade served with excellent vegetables. Perfectly proportioned for lunch and very very... More

This was an OK experience. Waitress was friendly, atmosphere was basic cafe. Food was OK, I went for the Special Hamburger, it was nice to be asked how I would like it cooked and it came as requested albeit lacked seasoning. Chips were cold, the side salad was just garnish not appetising enough to eat. My husband had the duck... More

We found this place by chance and we liked the reference to school days with nice paraphernalia. We ate twice there and each time we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. A nice mix of families, tourists and locals. They are even open on Sunday nights!
