Michelin Star plus a back-yard garden. We had a 10-course dinner and enjoyed wine that was paired to perfection.

A must visit for me when in Bordeaux, this visit was as good as ever. The young team are on top form and the tasting menu is art on a plate and very good value for the number of dishes that arrive in a well timed succession of delight. The restaurant has been redecorated and is minimalist in tone which... More

Le Pavillon des Boulevards is a great culinary stop in Bordeaux, it is intimately classy and sophisticated. It is a well kept secret kept by the Bordelais! We enjoyed the Menu Découverte (90 €) which was light and immaculately presented. Some highlights included Foie Gras fumé minute, Tartare de Dorade Oursin émulsion Yusu and the Pigeonneau Rôti en civet was... More

My husband and I dined here and absolutely loved it. We had the 8 course tasting, which the staff happily modified to accommodate my husband's shellfish allergy. It's always something that makes us nervous when traveling, but any concerns we had were immediately eased. Our two favorite courses were the sea bream and pigeon. Absolutely incredible! This place is set... More

A wonderful meal. We had the 8 course tasting menu. 5 fish courses, one meat and two deserts. Some of these dishes were the best I have had. Particular highlights were the oyster & bream tartare and the pigeon, the latter cooked using an unusual technique where burning fat produces an oil which is poured over the meat. It keeps... More

My husband and I dined here on my birthday at the recommendation of our Airbnb host. We also really enjoy good food and Michelin star restaurants, so this seemed like a perfect fit. Overall, it was a really good meal. The service was attentive, the staff spoke English to us, and they were very on top of everything. The menu... More

We were surprised to find this very elegant restaurant behind such an ordinary exterior. It was a lovely summer's evening and we were shown through to the very pretty garden. The interior of the restaurant as we passed through looked very comfortable and attractive. We chose a tasting menu and everything was really good. The staff were very pleasant and... More

My husband and I, along with my parents, dined at Le Pavillion des Boulevards for my husband's birthday during a trip to Bordeaux. We wanted to find a tasting (degustation) menu with wine pairings, and thought this offered the right balance between opulence and reasonable prices. The space is elegant and the atmosphere formal but not stuffy. We chose to... More

An old favourite, my latest visit proved to extremely enjoyable. The weather allowed a lovely evening in the garden. The staff are charming and instantly swapped to English when my French no was longer fit for purpose! I had the menu decouverte which was cheap at €90 given the multitude of delicate artistic dishes. The sommelier is very helpful and... More
