We were 2 families of 5 persons who went to Le Clos Du Cedre for a Sunday lunch. After sampling 1,2 and 3-star Michelin class restaurants in the past week, we found this one is the most amicable! Ambiance: Seated in an elegant, bright dining room Service: Friendly, cheerful, attentive and speak good English Food: We all loved their "Oeuf... More

We had their special New Year's Eve' dinner here, with a set menu. The service and food was good - and very convenient if you are staying in the adjacent hotel. The rooms are intimate, since it is a converted old-house.

We ate here the first night of our stay in the Hostelrie du Cedre. It was our desire to have a really fine dining experience upon arrival to Burgundy. We were deceived by the internet description of the chefs talents. Upon entry we were greeted by a very nice staff and taken to our table in a very nice and... More

A wonderful, high class experience at Le Clos de Cedre. Started with Frog's Legs, which were beautiful and presented wonderfully, too. Mains were Beef and Pork - so tasty, every morsel was devoured. Cheese platter needs to be seen to be believed. They had to carry it in with two serveuses! Great and classic cheeses from Bourgogne and the Jura.... More

We had a great evening recently in this place. Garden setting, modern (yet not that inventive) cuisine, excellent produce, and a great wine list (a phone book...). The whole experience was quite harmonious, with an attractive menu formula, and very hospitable service. A venue on the way to / from the South worthwhile going back to.

Pretentious. A cuisine that doesn't deserve a star. But the worst is the service: slow and inattentive. We waited 30min to be assisted. At a whole, it took more than two hours to have a one course meal. We intended to have cheese after the main course. We ordered that, but it never came up. We gave up and asked... More

We had a set menu with no choice as part of an accommodation package. Loved the starter amuse Bouche but from there it went down hill. The fish was so badly smelling neither of us ate it. Mentioned it to the waitress but was told its a type of fish that's like that but I didn't bother saying we ate... More

And it's clear to see why. The menu reads like a starred restaurant, unfortunately the experience and skills of the kitchen are unable to execute the promise. An amuse of cold strawberry and tomato soup was underwhelming A vegetable tart wasn't a disaster. The wholemeal pastry base and vegetables were properly cooked but that was what it tasted like -... Every year, we come back to this restaurant, for the official five-course meal, which is really ten courses. Excellent wines and knowledgable sommelier. Food is both excellent and beautifully prepared and served. If you have ever eaten at the French Laundry in California, you will find it a fair version of Le Clos du Cedre and far more expensive.

We have eaten here twice now and have enjoyed it each tome. The service is impeccable from the time you arrive. Its a Michelin star restaurant, so you know it's going to be expensive. However, saying that I actually think it's very good value. We paid 58 euros for a set 4 course with a choice of two items at... More

Description
The gourmet restaurant "Le Clos du Cedre", nestling in the heart of a park, occupies the house of a 19th century master wine grower. The dining room is a suite of rooms with character, with original mouldings, panelling and wooden floors. Beautiful terrace in the gardens where you will be able to enjoy the summer days. Orders are taken for dinner between 7 and 9 pm. Menu from €48.00.After a career path under the stars that begins in Burgundy, continues in the Bordeaux area through the Loire valley, Chef Christophe CANATI chooses to come back to our beautiful region in order to lead the kitchen of the restaurant Clos du Cèdre.Caring much about the quality of the produce he proposes, he definitely gives priority to local producers. His cooking is sober and yet sophisticated, leaving to every dish its authentic flavours. His fulfilling work experience took him around the world, having him discover many culinary traditions. His talent skillfully blends vegetables, spices, flavoured oils and aromatic herbs. Burgundy wines are not left behind, playing a major role in his cooking as well.
