Excellent restaurant in Vezelay. Menu with something for every taste. Wonderful wait staff who accommodated our every wish. But book early! They don’t turn the tables. Once the chalkboard says “complete “ they mean it. We had dinner here twice and we’re not disappointed. There is a Michelin restaurant in town but the menu is quite restricted and much more expensive.

Welcomed with our dog by perfectly charming staff and given a table in pretty courtyard. The supreme de pintade with garlic cream risotto was succulent and delicious. Clafoutis of local peaches was divine. Really one of the best meals I've had for a long time. You must book as they stop serving when they feel they've done enough and we saw numerous people turned away after about 1.30. We were lucky to get in ar 12.00. We would have gone again but they closed two days during the week so do check.

We were a family of four plus a baby. We all chose the menu of the day . It was hard to choose as all sounded very nice! Chef is very creative with using what is freshest during the season. I chose the melon, mozzarella, cherry tomato salad to start. Another winner was the eggplant cannoli with salad. I chose the veal mignon with mushrooms. Our son chose the beef daube. All were quite excellent! Four dessert I had plum clafoutis, my husband pain perdu. Also very good. I loved the puree parsnip and potato gratinee on my dish. The service was excellent. We were advised well on our glass of wine to go with our dishes.

Food was excellent Sadly the service was poor, they were trying but lacked organisation, eg: we ordered and were charged for wine that never arrived - we simply asked for the bill but were told they were too busy and we'd have to wait. As recompense we were offered some tap water! 3 servicing 1 table whilst other tables were waiting - arguing rather than accepting feedback about a meal. It's a shame a very good chef is being let down by the front of house. We hope they get the chaotic service sorted as then it will be a lovely evening out.

The service was ok. The problem is that the prices are not correctly indicated. They charge you 27 euros for an aperol spritz (which says it’s 16 next to the word ‘Aperol’) but then they tell you that 2 pages before it says that it will be 27 euros. Additionally, there is more ice than in Antártica in the spritz. The problem is that it’s not well indicated, and then the staff was not helpful when we told them what we thought. The views are nice but I wouldn’t recommend it, there are other places with great views, with more friendly staff, and good quality products.

We chose to visit back Vezelay because of the restaurant experience we had at this restaurant three years back. No regrets. It was the right choice. Great food and ambience once again but the highlight was the gentle and always smiling young lady who waited our table. She proved that it's people who always make the difference when it comes to customer experience. PS try the home-made terrine and the lamb with tagliatelle!

We had already received a good reception on the phone, very good reception confirmed on site with a staff listening. The menu and slate are likely to make your taste buds boil. The products used to cook the dishes are super fresh and very good. The dishes are good, well prepared, hearty and well presented. It is a beautiful establishment where one is well received. We will gladly return. We recommend.

A good experience, but some areas for improvement. Good welcome, pleasant service, careful presentation of dishes. But... Toilets upstairs in the hotel of a completely different standard, to be refreshed urgently. The text which makes fun of European officials is quite virulent and not very pleasant to read for people who are really affected by allergies. So moved. Finally, the dishes are excellent, except for the bad habit of putting pepper everywhere. Finally, it will be necessary to urgently improve the presentation of the menu which looks like it was entered into Word by a 10 year old child, in short not up to the standard of the rest...

We had an excellent meal and local wine selection. Our discovery that architect Le Corbusier lived here for a time during WWII was an unexpected bonus. A waiter from Sydney also added ease of communication for Anglophiles such as us!

We usually come to a gourmet restaurant to find something different and we found it! First of all, a French lamb with a cumin and chilli tian that was more a matter of North African cuisine. C was very raised, a remark also noted by the next table. We then had the pleasure of communicating our review to the waitress and the next 30 minutes we were treated to the boss’s behavior to say the least on several occasions. It was necessary to rip off a good evening when we took leave. The dish that followed was a beautifully presented dessert and good! Disappointment we were in the normal of a gastronomic. Finally the bill was communicated to us: 85 euros for 2 for 2 courses without wine. Awards very high like the rest. In the preface of the map we also had the joy of discovering a speech in which we understand that allergic people are not welcome as well as the ugly officials of Brussels who try to harm the population. In our review can do even better despite the excellence of this very different and original gastronomy both in the service and in some of its dishes.

The Sweetbread Tourte served with an anthology sauce accompanied by perfectly cooked butterflied shrimp is sublime. I accompanied it with a Burgundy Melon. I don't regret it but going to Chablis would have been better. Efficient service and Chef who knows his part. A happy Easter Sunday!

A pretty wooded setting, cloth tablecloths and napkins, gourmet dishes, a wine list suited to all tastes and above all smiles and kindness. Even the bread is excellent. Really a very pleasant moment that I will repeat.

Stopped here for dinner as out hotel said they were full and it was close. However what an amazing meal. The best we have had for a long time. Staff were very friendly. My husband had an egg starter which he said was ok. But his main of beef filet was the best he had had. Meat was very tender and accompanying sauce was divine. I started with scallops which were plentiful and excellent. Very fresh. My main course was amazing - monkfish on a bed of leeks with a delicious sauce. Absolutely amazing. Desserts were also good. Only slight improvement could be the wine. I had a glass of vouvray demi sec which was a bit warm and too sweet for me. Needs more choice of wine by the glass. But overall we enjoyed it very much.

An excellent surprise... No false notes from the coffee aperitif! Both classic and innovative, everything is delicious, very well presented, with pleasant and friendly service. Generous plates which make you appreciate even more the originality of certain pairings. Perfectly in tune with the exceptional beauty of the Vézelay site between the Romanesque art of La Madeleine and the contemporary art of the Zervos museum. Don't forget to book...

Not bad, but: - insufficient quantities - calamitous timing of arrival of dishes. To believe that in the kitchen we want to finish it as quickly as possible - insufficient quality/price ratio That said, very friendly staff and pleasant place
