Recomended by Office de Tourism as a great place to eat in town. Food mediocre/OK but service worse than fast food cafe in train station - food arrived 2 mins from ordering and it was supposed to be "gourmet". locals put in trendy front room and tourist shunted to dated and shabby back room behiund kitchen with dishes bqanged about... My husband and I ate here on the last of our 3 nights in Amboise and the food was fantastic. I am not a big fan of salmon, but I had a salmon dish here that was mouth watering. Service was very good and there was no issue that we had not made a booking.

If you are staying in Amboise then a visit to this restaurant is a must. It was run professionally and the service was impeccable. The set plates were ideal and value for money as was the surprises between courses. Cannot highly promote this as a dining experience.

We arrived without a booking but were quickly shown to our table. The food was really delicious, much better than expected and much better than more expensive restaurants in the area. Service was helpful, one of our party has allergies and there was great attention to detail. A very successful dinner.

We came based On tripadvisors. It had a great atmosphere in term of decore and restaurant layout. There are 3 rooms dedicated for tables but they used one room when we ate there. I felt like I wAs eating in a fancy meAsuem. we chose starter and main course. We were afrAid that the service would be slow. it definitely... More

We tried this restaurant based on our hotel's recommendation and we were very glad we did. The food was great and so was the service and the bill was far less for better food than our meal the previous evening had been at a restaurant recommended by our guide book.

We went here because it was very close to our hotel and we were very cold, the weather was 'unseasonably cold'! We had read some reviews on Trip Advisor and thought it would be OK, our hotel had the menu and that passed muster, so off we went. The old dining room is just that, old and tired. Wouldn't mind... The main courses are very good with a reasonable price. We tried two different fish dishes and they were both very good. However, it took 1h10 between the time we finished the main course and the dessert. We complained, nicely at first (after 45 min.) and then a bit more strongly (after 60 min.). We eventually got our dessert that... More

The food here was pretty good, and reasonably priced. The decor was a bit dated though. Also, there is a dining room which may be nicer, but we were seated in an area near the front door that was lacking in charm.
