This restaurant has so much going for it, a beautiful building in a great location, a lovely dining room, attentive and friendly staff and a good wine list. Yet I came away being disappointed because of some, mostly, kitchen fumbles that are easy to fix. I ordered the homemade Pate de Chartres, a paté of duck, in a pastry crust.... More

It was a nice casual dinner with good service. The Jerusalem artichoke soup with foie gras and chestnuts was great! Very convenient located in the hotel.

Once again had a delicious dinner here last night. Great friendly attentive staff, a menu that changes with dishes of the day. Everything was well presented, copious, scrumptious and memorable. Highly recommend if in Chartres

Set in the Grand Monarque, La Cour offers a more relaxed setting and a cheaper (yet still not exactly affordable) alternative to Le Georges, their gastronomic restaurant. The room is still beautiful, bright and light and comfortable, and the food is delicious. Good selection of cocktails and wine list too, The cuisine is contemporary French, changing seasonally, with local ingredients.... More

What can we say on top of that title. Expensive meals, expensive wines, poor quality, déjà-vu stuff, nothing special, a huge deception when the same house has a 1 star restaurant next to the brasserie.

Both lunch and dinner excellent! Wine choice good, service quick and professional. The bread of course high standard. Menu varied and well presented.

Arrived late from London at the lovely Le Grand Monarque hotel. We had booked the restaurant, as i guessed that Friday night in chartres would be busy, so the reservation was for 0930pm. We ere in fact over 30 mins late. Not a problem said the maitre d' and he took us to a lovely table, just off the courtyard,... More

With a Michelin star gourmet restaurant in the hotel one expects good things from the brasserie. You won't be disappointed An inventive menu and discreet but excellent service means that you will enjoy And any restaurant that serves a creme brulee that I can't finish because it's so big gets my vote

We had a lovely dinner, choosing the menu and we were not disappointed. The restaurant had porcini mushrooms on special, a great buy as a side dish. We also had a very good breakfast, with the same good service and value.

Thank Leif O
