Although everything looked yummy - we did not want something to heavy. We asked if hey had a salad. It was a most magnificent Caesar Salad - Chicken, tomatoes , asparagus, hard boiled eggs among other ingredients. Very tasty with a Kir Royale. Desert was yummy and modern. Completed an extraordinary visit.

Food excellent but the location is fabulous. We ate here after a visit at the chateaux with a large party. Service was prompt. The room is a beautiful place to dine.

I had my doubts when we saw this restaurant, but really enjoyed it here. Nice atmosphere, nice view, good service and very tasty food. Especially the figue, it was exceptionally good. Recommend it for sure and bravo to the chef :)

My wife, a friend and I ate lunch here during a day at the Chateau. Yes, it was expensive for lunch, but what an experience it was! Every item of food we ordered was superb, and the presentation was wonderful. Staff was very attentive and most spoke English. The reimagined Caesar salad is a 'do not miss.' What a perfect... More

A true delight. A friend recommended we visit this excellent restaurant and his recommendations will always be followed in the future. The food was excellent, the service perfect, and the surroundings a delight to eye. We chose the 'Menu du Terraine', which offered a good choice from local specialities. My wife started with smoked haddock, while I chose French Onion... More

This happened to be our favourite Loire Chateau, and lunch at this restaurant was certainly the cherry on top of the cake. Very classy service without geing haughty, excellent food, particularly the dessert! A wonderful way to make your visit to this lovely chateau extra special.

One of the many pleasures of visiting Chenonceau (surely the most charming of the Loire castles) is the pleasant restaurant (which you can only access after paying to visit the castle). I don't know the history of the orangerie, but it is a singularly lovely room, and it serves a very nice, rather fancy version of country cooking—and for a... More

Although a little expensive, and requiring you to have bought a ticket to get into the Chateau first, this was a lovely way to spend the afternoon after touring the Chateau. There was a selection of menus and some reasonably priced wines from their own vineyard.
