I went for lunch at Koetsu in December 2014. The restaurant is located in rue St Anne, with a huge concentration of Japanese restaurants. The owner and some of the staff are Japanese, which is a good sign. The lunch menu was tight but fairly...More

Very authentic japanese food. Generous portions. very good service. We had Shabu Shabu set menu which whilst a reasonable price, was worth the money for quality and quantity.

The food isn't consistent. I went once and had a salmon sushi set, it was really good. Went another time and ordered the same thing, sushi were so-so, and the rice was from the bottom of a rice cooker, slightly burnt. For almost 20 euros/a...More

I am a regular visitor of this restaurant since at least 5 years. While for many years I was convinced that Koetsu is the best japanese restaurant in rue st. anne (the street in Paris with the highest density of japanese restaurants per square mile),...More

Authentic japanese restaurant where you can try sukiyaki. 28 euro per person and you can enjoy a hot pot under envious looks from other guests.

Admittedly I am very spoiled when it comes to Japanese food, but this was the worst meal ever by any standard. The tempura was soggy and obviously made before and microwaved. The 'grilled' salmon was so dry, it was inedible. The green tea did not...More

We went into this restaurant thinking that it was run by Japanese people because it had a label on the door saying "cuisine japonaise authentique" which helps customers tell the difference between truly Japanese restaurants and "sushi restaurants run by non-Japanese". I'm not saying that...More
