Generally, we liked our meal. The currys were tasty, the decor and ambiance were nice, but the price was a little too high, especially since the nan and rice had to be ordered separately (and the nan was just one round). The mango lassi was very good.

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Our experience at Le Maharajah was fantastic. This place deserves a review that too a good one almost after a year of our visit to Paris as I can still recall the tasty Indian food I had there.

The title says it all really. The food was great, really delicious but the service was terrible I was kept waiting for 5-10 minutes on a couple of occasions even after the waiter and/or waitress had acknowledged that I was waiting. If the food wasn't so good I'd have rated it 1 star.

Le mahrajah resturant is actually overrated and i would rate it as a middle class reaturant, the seats are not comfortable for having dinner or lunch and in terms of food i didnt like the taste since there is nothing special and the baryani tastes like chinese rice however the veg sambosa was better than the main course.

Super place There is a big variety of indian dishes, although not realy authentic, europeanized ( Its normal, u need to accomodate to the tastes) the food is good, and plenty. Tastes nice, not spicy. One thing though that was a glitch, the food needed to be a bit more hot. It was warm. Did not make a fuss cause... More

Booked last minute via TripAdvisor and received a discount. Restaurant was quite quiet. Service was fine. Food was tasty but not very hot at all. Food was reheated upon request. Pistachio dessert and Nutella nan were delicious. Overall, tasty food and great discount.

We frequented this place twice during our stay in Paris. Firstly because it's close by to our hotel. Secondly the food was simply good and tasty. Aplenty of choice with reasonable price too for such a restaurant with elaborated decor to give one an authentic feel of an Indian Restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodative too. Perfect for even... More

We enjoyed good dinner with traditional Indian dishes. Friendly, professional and quick service. Nice decoration and convenient location. Easy to find and wide menu to choose from.

The restaurant is very well decorated and maintained. The staff is very friendly and food is really delicious. The restaurant is also very near to metro station 10 - Maubert - Mutualité, say 100 meters, which is advantageous for the tourists like us. We ordered in a starter ´Murg Tikka´ which was very less in quantity but really good in... More

Visited for the first time last night with a friend, and this place did not disapppoint! From the start, the service was very attentive and the atmosphere was bright and colorful. My friend ordered the Makhani Tikka while I had the Rogan Gosht. Both dishes had such rich, deep flavors. For dessert, we tried the Gulab Jambu and were pleasantly... More

Description
Le Maharajah restaurant in the heart of Paris’ Left Bank proudly claims its place as the first Indian restaurant in the capital, and it’s still delighting clients from all over town. The atmosphere is magical, exotic. With spotlit alcoves for Indian portraits, hand-carved chairs, pink table linens, and everywhere the heightened décor, colours and aromas of the subcontinent, Le Maharajah brings India to France. The menu focuses on North Indian cuisine: the specialty of the house is lamb curry with aubergines which you should have with the cheese naans. Well-chosen wines and careful service make this a local favourite.

The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner.
