There was one server for the restaurant who was overwhelmed by customers. By the time our food arrived, it was barely warm and poorly seasoned.

The staff at this restaurant is very rude, Firstly, they do not understand your exact order and then when you call them to fix the order, they don't listen. We had to constantly ask for cutlery, paper napkins and of course the food that was...More

Dear Puja, We are very sorry you had a bad experience. I regret you think a restaurant has to be run by Indian to be a good restaurant. I don't agree with this kind of mentality, almost xenophobic. Regarding the dishes, everything is home made...More

What a wonderful Indian restaurant. We were so pleased with everything so we went back the day after (on a three day trip). Tasty and a lot of flavours. We asked for spicy and got it really spicy without collapsing (not "vindaloo-spicy"). Everything is so...More

Great food, small portions however. We booked according to the "special" offered. We turned up- no special available. Why offer a special in the first place! You don't need to offer it - you have good food.

Le Maharajah restaurant in the heart of Paris’ Left Bank proudly claims its place as the first Indian restaurant in the capital, and it’s still delighting clients from all over town. The atmosphere is magical, exotic. With spotlit alcoves for Indian portraits, hand-carved chairs, pink table linens, and everywhere the heightened décor, colours and aromas of the subcontinent, Le Maharajah brings India to France. The menu focuses on North Indian cuisine: the specialty of the house is lamb curry with aubergines which you should have with the cheese naans. Well-chosen wines and careful service make this a local favourite.
