We stumbled upon this restaurant on a quite afternoon in September. It is a small cozy restaurant. We were expecting an average meal, BUT we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food as well as the food presentation. I am Canadian from Italian...More

This is a small restaurant, so I would recommend reservations, as we saw one party of four get turned away. My husband and I loved this place. There was just one person running the front of the house while we were there, and she did...More

It was mid afternoon. Our feet were sore. Wandering round Paris, the Seine, the islands was fun, but it was time to sit down and have something to eat. Sorza looked nice so we decided to try it. And it was a very good choice....More

This restaurant is tiny and expertly managed by one lady serving all customers and getting the meals from the chef through a hatch through to the kitchen. It's very intimate, the food is lovely, I had a salmon risottto and chocolate mousse which were both...More

On our first evening in Paris, we had walked to Saint-Chapelle from our hotel in Marais, and returning via Ile St Louis, chanced upon Sorza. It looked interesting and the price and menu choice were appealing, so in we went. We chose the 2 course...More

Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,

Sorza is in the heart of Ile Saint Louis in Paris not far from Notre Dame. This Mediterranean restaurant is of extremely chic and of exquisite taste. Unlike many French restaurants, this restaurant never stops serving; lunch can stretch throughout the afternoon until it is time for that pre dinner drink. At the weekends brunch is also available. The restaurant plays music throughout the day changing the genre as the day moves on, jazz in the morning and afternoon and lounge music in the evening. The dcor is contemporary and eye catching with black lacquered tables, red walls, candles in little crystal glasses and subtle lighting.
