We decided to stop off for a drink here as it was an interesting people watching place with the guitar player near by & the balancing act artist nearby - we both had the Viennese Hot Chocolate here and it was hot & very tasty indeed and refreshed us for another stroll around Monmartre. We sat outside under the heaters... More

Chez Plumeau feels like Paris. Walking up an art-filled staircase, with music playing in the background, it was the perfect place for a lunch sitting outside under the trees with a glass of wine and fresh salad.

After 12 years a return visit to this homely restaurant was well worth the wait. Quality food (we had the vegetarian lasagne which was as delicious as other reviews, and the veal fillet on the suggestion of the wait staff) and a lovely wine - was the perfect meal after a freezing morning of exploring Mont Martre and Sacré Cœur

Several years ago, I raved about this place. Last evening I had the Salade Terroir and could not eat it. Greasy toasts slathered with melted cheese in the middle of a mesclun salad. Only edible components were the dried tomatoes. So, it's just one dish but I have never been disappointed before and wonder if they have a new chef... More

Finally was at this restaurant at the right time to have lunch. First walked by this restaurant in Nov. 2012 and fell in love with its quaint setting just steps from the square in Montmartre. Now, on our 3rd trip to Paris, the timing was right. It was a cool, wet day earlier this month and a bowl of soup... More

It was such a great choice! We were looking for a place to have a lunch in busy Monmartre and thanks to Tripadvisor recommendations we found this lovely place. Make sure you try the snails and cockerel and don't forget to get a bottle of nice rose ;)

As the street performers sung "I want to be like you" while we were passing by, looking at the environment, the customers and the waiters, I knew that's where I'd like to have our first romantic dinner in Paris, all food as delicious as you can expect in Paris, this totally made our evening, and it's really nice of the... Me and my family went to the restaurant last Sunday, the terrace was full so we have food inside. The decoration is great and the personal is so nice. Food is amazing and you pay for what you eat. The best choice in Montmaetre.

Surprised while wandering in Montmartre on a Sunday afternoon just outside la place des peintres and their crowded restaurants. Nice atmosphere in the terrace with some slow live music, good food and homemade iced tea. Not cheap, not pricey. Friendly staff as well.

Went to plumeau 10 years after my first visit. It become less fancy, the food is no longer very elaborate, but still tasty and decent. The service is Fast and efficient and the prices are just fine. Same familiar atmosphere, like dinning among friends. Excelent location just Off the mainstream Montmartre makes it perfect for a quiet and romantic evening.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
