It's an excellent cafe at the corner of so magnificent historic site of Paris facing St. Michel fountain. You get a nice coffee and enjoy watching people from four corners of the world passing by each has his/her own story some rushing some jay walking. In conclusion sit relax enjoy your coffee.

Maybe this is not the best place in Paris, actually as all restos and cafes in tourtistic areas, but I really love their tarte au citron meringuée. I haven't seen it in the list of the best lemon pies with merenge, but I tried the dessert in these places, and I still prefer this one. So Le Depart is my... More

Straight outside the metro on your way into the centre from the Eurostar, very convenient meeting place for a large group. Good for light snacks. Drinks very expensive, although normal for Paris. Staff not particularly friendly or welcoming.

Good food and service, but the waitress insisted the top was not included, which it always is. Gave her a few euros just to settle the matter

Stopped here for lunch between St. Chappelle, Notre Dame and shopping. There are 3 bistros right together at the top of the St. Michelle Metro stop. This had the best menu and best prices - such the perfect choice. The service was quite good - especially for a busy Parisienne bistro. We got attention without asking from the manager as... More

All in all it was terrible. The food tasted awful (crepe was soggy and the sauce was extremely chemically tasting). When my friend got the wrong order (she ordered a café creme but got an espresso), the waiter did not exchange it nor apologized. I definitely wouldn't recommend. Stay away from this place!!

Had a croque monsieur and a coffee here for brunch before a busy day of sightseeing. The croque monsieur was the nicest I have ever had and the waiter that served me was pleasant and made sure I was comfortable and enjoying my food. Would highly recommend.

The first time my husband and I visited was 10 years ago on our honeymoon so we wanted to go back and experience it again. We only stopped in for coffee but it's a great restaurant to sit and watch the world go by. The food looked amazing and the coffees were lovely.

We ate here twice for a light dinner and once for a simple breakfast. It was very convenient to our metro stop, St Michel. very nice outside seating. Lovely view of the Saint Michel fountain and people watching. Croque Monsieur was very fresh and cheesy, good sized portions, and they make excellent cocktails. Great service, come as you are after... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner.
