Small restaurant off the beaten path close to the Luxembourg park, with an interior that could be just anywhere, tables very close together, welcome rather sullen, food good enough, bur with so many typical and welcoming places in the 'hood, why bother?

We went here with some French friends who were equally happy with the experience, so it must have been good! the restaurant is Small and cosy and the food well prepared. The portions are not enormous, but two courses and a 'cafe gourmand' were just right. Service was friendly and efficient. Lively atmosphere but no problem chatting with friends. Good... More

With many restaurants closed on Sunday, I reserved online with La Fourchette one week prior. We arrived to a locked door with a short wait for the gentleman who was setting tables to open up. He took our order, poured water and wine and before we realized it the place was filled with what seemed like neighborhood regulars. Same solo... More

After having had a substantial lunch, I was hoping to have a Chocolate Soufflé for my dinner. The restaurant that I originally planned to try was not open. As I walked back to my hotel I passed by Aux 2 Oliver and spotted their menu which included a soufflé. I asked if I could order only.the dessert and I was... More

They turn away costumers with a poor attitude. We made a reservation and upon arriving (on time) a cranky waiter didn't allow us to sit, stating the kitchen was already closed. Despite our online booking trough La Fourchette we were turned away with a very bad attitude and with all the other guest staring at us. We do not recommend... More

Interior needs a make-over, and the food was average. Owner seemed quite friendly, but he needs to up his game. Menu sounded very good - purportedly with all fresh ingredients, which is probably true, but the recipes lack inspiration.

We booked this restaurant for a birthday lunch at 2pm Wednesday 14th Sept. 2016. We arrived at 2.10pm. The restaurant was only 25 to 30% occupied, but people were still eating, so he could easily have fitted us in. The Patron seemed annoyed, & said our reservation was for 2pm only, he was sorry, but he would not serve us.... More

This is a small, fancy restaurant in front of the Luxembourg Gardens. The atmosphere is very pleasant and not so hectic like in other small restaurants in Paris. They have a clear menu card and the price is acceptable for Paris. I had a 3 course menu which was prepared with fresh foods and a lot of love. If you... More

We were excited to find this little restaurant just a few blocks from our rental apartment and right across from Luxembourg Gardens. We booked this based on a special offer and were delighted with our meal and the service! The restaurant is small and has one server/greeter. He was very efficient. He doesn't not speak English, but understood enough that... More

Aux Deux Oliviers is close to the Park Luxembourg, so if you're in the neighborhood, it's a very good choice. It's small and cozy, but not so small that you feel cramped. The food is traditional French, with touches of Morocco (a couple of tagines on the menu). I started with the cold vegetable salad--subtly dressed and very nice--and the... More
