Got 3 take-out pizzas to eat at the park. The service was excellent, the pizza came out quickly and was very tasty.

This restaurant gives out all the right signals - pleasant welcome, white table cloths and the appearance of an authentic Italian eating experience. What it delivers is poor value and not representitive of what Italian food can offer. For example, We were drawn to the risotto. It looked right as it stated boldly on the menu that it would take... Visited Caruso for lunch and were warmly welcomed and seated at a lovely table by a window. Nice selection of wines and options for lunch. We shared the eggplant appetizer, following it up with the risotto with Parmesan. The risotto was elegant in its simplicity. The portion was just enough and the rice perfectly cooked. Accompanied by fresh bread and... More

We recently had dinner at Le Caruso and greatly enjoyed the experience. Everyone at the restaurant was very warm and welcoming. The Gnocchi Sorrentina was outstanding, with the gnocchi light and "pillowy". I opted for the Gambas alla Griglia (grilled prawns) and they were fresh and flavorful. The Beef Carpaccio con Parmigiano was also outstanding. The only course that disappointed... More

Real Italian pizza. Wood oven grill. Exceptional sauce and cheese. Very reasonably priced. Nice tables out on the patio.

We visited for lunch and shared pizza, bruschetta, and risotto. The Margherita pizza was excellent. The bruschetta was fine; after visiting Italy we obviously did not expect it to be as good. The risotto was pretty good, again not as good as in Italy. If you are looking for traditional Italian food this is probably your best bet in France.... More

We enjoyed Le Caruso so much that we returned a second time. The staff was very friendly and efficient--we had the same excellent waiter both times. The pizza was delicious, as was a pasta dish. The prices were much more reasonable than other restaurants. We enjoyed sitting at an outdoor table. If we are ever in the Marais again, we... More

Good pasta, pizza, fun ambience, easy to find and offer take-away as well as dine in. Family of 4 we were quickly seated and attended to with good humor. Even practiced some Italian.

Service was good, setting was nice, overall a nice pleasant place however, 18EUR for a small lasagne for lunch was not good value. I would have expected a large serving for this, but it was so small. 45EUR for lunch for 2 , pizza, lasagne, water, coke. Even by Paris standards it's expensive.

The atmosphere is warm and friendly. This is a family business and many of the guests are obviously regulars being greeted by the owner in a familiar way. The food is excellent, pastas and meat dishes and a great wine selection. Well dressed patrons and quite a romantic setting

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
