Hard not to find a charming cafe here in Paris. This one is expecially lovely. Friendly staff and tucked away in Montmartre.

We were visiting the neighborhood of Montmartre, and it began raining, so we took shelter in Le Consulat, but looking at the prices, we decided to have our lunch there. The staff were very friendly, spoke english and always tried to understand our needs, so...More

Just a great little find in the middle of the beautiful Montmartre area. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and there was a great atmosphere - definitely a must when going to Montmartre!

I really love wandering around Montmartre, but one of the cons is the crowds, which often means high prices for mediocre food. That's definitely the case for Le Consulat. It's in a high traffic area and the food was just not very good. We ordered...More

Montmartre, lots of restaurants which are traps for the unwary. We went into the Le Consulat for lunch because we were tired and did not like the look of some of the restaurants we had seen. Although there were plenty of tourists inside, there were...More

Perfect birthday meal here in the summer. I had a great Confit of Duck and an even better creme brûlée. Perfect spot to watch people coming into Montmarte, often a musician playing nearby. Good service, don't be put off by the pub like interior, sit...More

Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and
styles which changes from one street to another. Ride
the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the
steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the
Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The
church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano
bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers
thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy

I am not sure about the reservation, but it is not very crowded. I was passing by with a friend and we just stopped for a drink. There were at least 3 tables empty on the terrace and probably more inside. It was in the... More

Most places take visa or mastercard BUT if your card does not have a chip in it(ours did not) then sometimes we had problems in France. We always made sure to have cash with us.
