I've had good meals here in the past and decided to return with a French friend when we were on an art walk in the 13th Arrondissement. Since I rarely eat much for lunch, I ordered only dim sum -- shrimp dumplings and steamed pork buns -- and disliked both. This is the first Chinese restaurant worldwide where I've had... More

I went there with my friends because it's such a nice address that I go to with my family as well. The menu offers a lot of choices which is nice! Not cheap, but bot expensive, this is a nice place eat at and you can also take the meals away!

This is a no nonsense restaurant we go regularly with the family. In the 13th you need to know which meal you want to eat and choose the appropriate restaurant. Go to this restaurant only for indo-china noodle soups, they are their specialties. Don't take any of their pho soup, nor cantonese dishes, no thai. Just their noodle soups. That's... More

I ended up there while roaming the Chinatown and looking for a place to have some early lunch. I had a great soup: tasty broth and silky dumplings. The other clients were all Asian and they all seemed happy with their meals. I'd go back if I was in the area!

It's a popular place which attracts the local Asian population - and this is usually a good sign. Indeed, the service is highly efficient (although the staff doesn't seem to know how to smile), the dishes are well prepared and tasty, and the prices are moderate. We tried several specialities, and all were excellent. Certainly a great place for Asian... More

As a french-vietnamese, I always go to the 13th arrondissement whenever I'm in Paris to get vietnamese food. Most of my experiences have been good / average. Not that one. Service is friendly and efficient. Food is not on par with other restaurants nearby. My biggest disappointment was the vietnamese 3 colors soup dessert. It was a lazy version made... More

Firstly I'm Chinese so I know my Chinese/Vietnamese food. I generally try to find some good and bad points in my reviews to give a fair assessment but this place probably ranks amongst one of the poorest Chinese restaurants I've been to and I cant find anything good to say about it. We randomly picked this place during our walk... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
