After six days in Paris, we were looking for an "Italian Fix". Lancetta certainly provided this. The Gnocchi Italia, and the Linguine di Mare were absolutely sensational. Prices were OK, and the service good.

Good value for money, this place. Well cooked fish forms part of a varied menu with excellent pasta dishes too. And pleasant service, not always a given in Paris, but then it's an Italian restaurant!

While it may seem unusual to look for Italian meal when in Paris, after two nights of wonderful Parisian food an Italian meal what just what we needed. We were staying in an apartment in the 6th District, a wonderful residential area on the Left bank, and we were presented with an abundance of wonderful neighborhood bistros of top quality.... More

We had dinner here toward the end of our week in Paris when we needed a break from French food. It was very cute and cozy inside. The service was casual, with who I think was the owner waiting tables herself in blue jeans. Our appetizer was artichoke hearts wrapped in bacon and stuffed with melted mozzarella, on a huge... We've been to this restaurant on several trips to Paris in the last 5 years. The menu has a varied selection of pastas and entrees including vegetarian options. It tends to get crowded, so having a dinner reservation is advisable (call or stop in earlier in the day). This trip we had just come from Italy, so our palates were... More

Light meal lovely. Staff friendly and in no hurry to rush me out considering the late hour. Food delicious. Would definitely recommend

I came with my family to get some pasta and we were utterly disappointed. We ordered 3 pastas and a fish dish all of which were disappointing in their own way. The seafood was poor quality and bland tasting, the pasta itself was too plain to bare. The saffron fish dish was tasteless and gross. The penne almalfi was good... More

Upon passing the cosy looking restaurant we decided to give it a try. We were not disapppointed! Delicious food and friendly service. They create pure tasting dishes at reasonable prices. Next time in Paris, i'll be back!

We originally planned on going here on Monday 9/14/15 but they were closed, so this ended up being our last dinner in Paris on Tuesday 9/15 (the night before we left). It could not have been better. Located on the same street as our hotel (Hotel La Belle Juliette, a 2 minute walk) this not only turned out to be... More

The food was pretty good. However, we made the mistake of going there after Le Vin en Bouche and the house wine at Lancetta just seemed severely sub-par.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
