My husband and I had lunch at Cafe du Centre in the market street Montorgueil. I love beef bourguignon and don't find it very often even in Paris. This was some of the best I have had. It had the special spice/taste of a true bourguignon. My husband's cheeseburger was very good and the service was great. A great value.

We had been there twice during our vacations. And it was really this typically French cafe/restaurant. We had there delicious food and great wine. The people are friendly and in winter you can sit outside as well.

We stumbled across this restaurant in our hunt for a table for 12 on our 1st night in Paris & couldn`t have been happier with the service, the food & the beer. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate our 2 families who all had a wonderful experience. In fact we enjoyed it so much we went back a few... More

Got beef and salmon tartare with homemade fries - very nice. Waiter was friendly and the atmosphere was really Parisian. Nice place.

We stopped here for lunch (and a chance to get out of the rain). The food was tasty and their cheese plate (which I'd guess comes from La Fermette) was really good. We ate outside and the tables are crammed together under the awning. It's a fun experience and I'd expect we were with plenty of locals. Rue Montorgueil was... More

We were graciously welcomed by a bunch of servers with smiles and escorted to a nice table by the windows for our after-dinner drinks. Pretty bar, cute interior, popular place. Made me happy.

During our stay in Paris we were lucky to stay near rue de Montorgueil. This charming street is full with lovely cafes, bars and shops that attract mainly local French people. One of these is le Cafe Du Centre, a typically french cafe with many choices as well for food and deserts. We liked both the cafe and the deserts... More

Excellent cafe in the most hip/ chic neighborhood in Paris center. Staff was always cheerful and rolling on high vibes. Best place to people watch and hang out with great friends.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
