Fauchon is the patisserie in Paris. A must do and definitely well worth the calories as a special treat. Shop includes all sorts of upmarket food but at the top of the list are the magnificent cakes and desserts.

I stumbled upon this hot pink and black themed cafe at one of the open bus tour stop's. There are so many beautiful looking cakes. eclairs and macaroons that it made it hard to settle on just one! We sat outside in the fresh air, and enjoyed a delicious light lunch and wine. The store upstairs is perfect for those... More

Who would pay 7 euros for an eclair? I would every day of the week if they tasted as good as these ones do. Try the salted caramel one and you will not be disappointed!!

The service and presentation were amazing. I ordered some ham, assorted cheeses, bread and sparkling water for a picnic. The cheese was all rancid. I took a few bites but it was disgustingly spoiled. Better quality control was needed!

Excellent food and very fine service. Enjoyed their grilled salmon with quinoa and their passion fruit desert. Simply amazing.

Out of the 5 days we were in Paris we ended up here 3 times! We tried all the different eclairs which were all fantastic and we tried a few of their cakes which were also very very nice. We sat outside which had heaters to keep us warm. It's such a lovely place to come for tea and dessert... More

You eat with your eyes, and when you look at this window, you have to get inside to try at least one of their pastries. You also select all kind of food an smoked fishes, ham, Iberico ham, and traiteur food that you can eat in the back of the store. You at least have to try their Parisian Macarons

Visited this place almost 3 times this month. The restaurant serves average food. I was simply expecting something special as they are well known for their excellent sweets. Dessert is simply perfect.

Thank Abraxl

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
