We wondered around Montmartre for a while before spotting this small restaurant slightly away from the main tourist area and I am so pleased we did. As soon as we stepped into the restaurant we were hit by a mouth-watering smell and by the lively atmosphere of the mainly French guests (always a good sign!). They were very busy but... More

This is a great narrow restaurant on a hilly street. We had main courses of lamb and steak, wine, and a very generous cheese board to share, all very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly, happy to speak English (and the menu is available in English too). The lamb especially is wonderful!

This is a tiny restaurant tucked away in Montmartre with two front of house and two back of house staff, cooking, plating, serving and clearing, making it seem effortless while providing marvellous food and excellent wine. Eat here.

We came here twice on our Paris trip as the food, atmosphere and service was the absolutely amazing! We thought their menu was more varied than other restos in similar category. We tried their beef, fish, rabbit and quail for example were all excellent! Their Pommes frites are to die for!

We were wandering around Montmartre and were able to get a table as soon as the doors opened at 7. Any later and we would have been out of luck. Make a reservation! The poached eggs with morels in morel cream sauce was so good I almost cried. Superb lamb with a garlic cream sauce that was out of this... More

I've never tried a so inventive and, at the same time, simple food! A really tipical parisien restaurant, not like the touristical ones you could find everywhere: fantastic tastes, expecially meat dishes and dessert, right prices and a kind service. Considering you're in Paris and inside Mont-Martre, I think is one of the best restaurant of the city by quality-price:... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
