Nice food and nice staff with the added bonus of free wifi. The server was very kind to me and my poor attempts at speaking French. He was patient and kindly switched to English when I was really struggling. We ordered some simple French food (croque Madame and steak tartare) which we enjoyed.

Food and service good, clean, relaxed atmosphere would eat here again. Reasonably priced given the proximity to Notre Dame.

Partner and myself went into Paris for a walkabout. After walking/ sightseeing we wanted a place to eat. By luck we happened on this restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was not crammed. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. the chips were exceptional! Nice decor. We were both tired travelling but this was a lucky find.... More

After visiting the Notre Dame cathedral we happened upon this gem of a cafe. Situated down a side street the cafe was not overly busy and more importantly not over priced. We sat outside and absorbed the Parian atmosphere adjacent to a narrow cobble stoned road. I ordered the snails in garlic sauce as an entree, burger for a main... More

We were so tired, we just wanted a place to sit down and have coffee. Sadly I was too tired to even check out reviews before we sat down. We had a large coffee with milk and cappuccino. Service wasn't bad, but the coffees were both terrible! And they charged us close to 15euros which is quite ridiculous for bad... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
