Be prepared to wait in line to get any food at this pastry shop... Absolutely authentic delicattesen in the Jewish Quarter of Paris...Ordered a pastrami sandwich on onion roll, very large size, plenty to share at a cost of approx 8 Euro...Definitely a meal to remember!

Found this place after waiting in nearby Finkelsztajn's but failing to get served --- what a contrast: efficient, friendly and good food. Nice to be able to sit outside.

The staff s helpful and accommodating in helping select and ordering food. We found the cured meats such as pastrami excellent, better then ny. The pastry we 've had seems fresh and never dried out. We enjoyed their onion roles and faux motzah and some of their spreads

Everyone talks about the pastrami sandwiches, but Kahn's savory strudels are what's truly worth trying! Despite the large crowd, the superbly efficient women that ran the shop do a great job at helping everyone quickly and with personal attention. As a Greek, I was touched to find many Greek delicacies along the Yiddish ones, and very happy to read my... More

We looked for a place in Marais to have breakfast and found this small bakery at a corner surrounded by falafel places. It's appearance attracted us immediately. It is small and cozy. Not the kind of designed bakery with a huge seating area. Actually the only place to be seated is outside. The food showcased in the windows tastes as... More

Pretty cafe in the most beautiful area of Paris. Delicious pastries and jewish specialties! Went there several times over the last few years and was never disappointed.

Truly, wonderful shop, we have changed our holiday arrangement to ensure that we can go on a Sunday and enjoy a fantastic salt beef roll, a beer and cheesecake (It a special offer). Very busy on Sundays but great atmosphere in that area. Grab a seat and enjoy!

All I had was a lemon cheesecake, light not too sweet and perfect! FYI, even if you see the little plastic bag to next to the pastries do not try to grab anything. I was no-no'ed by a very nice lady that works there. She was very nice, but a got a bit nervous and forgot the little French I... More

I walked by I think a 100 times and never tried this place. Well I missed something. The sandwich was excellent and the strudel delicious. Prices are correct, well it's Paris. You can sit outside without being disturbed by cards which is also a nice + in Paris. I look forward to my next visit!

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
