We ordered a 3 cheese fondue and 2 onion soups and they were superlative. Really tasty and very good quality. The creme brûlé and the chocolate fondant are superb. Highly recommend!

I had reviewed this restaurant prior to coming and was well aware of the spectacular raclette and I wasn't disappointed. This perfectly french bistro is delightful. Small and intimate with fantastic management and staff. We came back towards the end of the week for the...duck which was delicious. If you want home cooked delicious french food this is the place. Highly recommend the raclette and although we didnt have it the fondue on the other tables was clearly being enjoyed. We will be back.More

Our first dining experience in Paris…not so great. We are in Paris celebrating our 25th anniversary. After seeing so many positive reviews, I assumed this would be a good choice. They were out of Bouef Bourgonione which is what my husband ordered. When I asked...for the lamb, the server told me” but you ordered this and then cancelled. I said “but you’re out of the beef bourgonione and my husband now has nothing to eat.” Then they suggested that he eat with the beef fondue with me and my son which was flavorless and no good. French onion soup and cheese fondue were just ok. Just an all around disappointment. Maybe we should have made earlier reservations… I love good cuisine and I can’t personally recommend this restaurant. Our bill was $130eu and just not worth it at all.More

Who would’ve guessed the helpful, soft spoken gentleman leaning on the table of a small laundromat in St. Germaine was a member of the Harvard faculty? In addition to preventing me from ruining my clothes, he recommended this restaurant as his favorite and now I...see why. There are a million places to eat in Paris but this was the experience we were looking for. The staff was exceedingly helpful and the food excellent. This is not a frilly gourmet restaurant but instead what I’d expect to find at a small town deep in France. The owner herself watched over the staff and kitchen. The food was excellent and the dessert even better.More

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. The servers were so friendly and helpful in assisting us with the selection for our dinner. One of the servers speaks English too. We ordered the cheese and mushroom fondue and it came with...potatoes, slice of prosciutto, a small salad and basket of bread. It was delicious. The restaurant is very nice inside and clean and it was busy! Highly recommend you give it a try.More

I love fondue & this is the best I’ve had anywhere! Lovely atmosphere & the waiters were polite, friendly & helpful. We went to another well known fondue/raclette restaurant, which was good, but liked Le Vieux Bistro better. Go if you can get reservations.

We coincidentally spotted this place while in the Mouffetard area and went in for lunch. The waiters were super helpful and also helped us with the translation of the menu. My brother and I ordered the fondue bourguignonne, and my mother had the boeuf bourguignon,...both were incredibly tasty! Service was excellent too (a huge shoutout to the waiter who spoke a bit of Danish too), and the vibe of the restaurant is so cozy and makes you feel like home. I already know where I'll be dining next time I'm in Paris. Merci from Copenhagen!More

This was THE nicest dinner, and dinner EXPERIENCE we had on our trip to Paris. First the food. We make our own cheese fondue at home and we were skeptical if this was going to be as good as ours. It was …. Better! It...was a 3 cheese fondue that was just spectacular. The bread that came with it was perfect for dipping cheese fondue. We were served a salad but was too full to really eat it. But we weren’t too full for the crème brûlée. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. Secondly the experience. We had three different servers on that night and they were all excellent. Good English speakers, friendly, helpful and funny. They open at 6:00 and on the evening we were there (Sunday), they had a full house reserved. We got in only because we were there precisely at 6:00 pm. So I would encourage you to make reservations! Thank you for a wonderful evening!More

The food was outstanding and the service superb. The staff were excellent and spoke good English which was a relief as my French is poor. The restaurant is only small so reserve in advance, there were lots of people turned away and told to try...again in an hour or 90 mins, which quite a few did, which i think emphasizes the quality of the food here.More

We were keen to try the traditional Raclette for dinner and chose this lovely bistro after passing by and seeing it was busy and we loved the charming and cosy look of the place. The proprietor who greeted us was friendly and helpful and the...staff spoke very good English. We ordered the raclette and they showed us how to eat it with the potatoes and charcuterie. The charcuterie was top quality, freshly sliced and there was a wide variety. People at the next table were enjoying the fondue which looked excellent too! Easy to make reservation online, spotless establishment with varied menu and good wine list. Very reasonably priced and a delightful evening overall!!More
