We went to this place right on our arrival night, our host took us there. It is right in the middle of Paris' bustling Chinese neighbourhood. We were pleasantly surprised, as the owners are very friendly, the food is good and the prices are great, for Parisian standards. The soup is good, and we ended up going back another night.... More

My girlfriend (she is Vietnamese) and I have really appreciated our dishes, just so so good. Mi Quang is the best, other dishes are also good. She said that the flavor is very Hue - typical character of the center of Vietnam.

This is one of the continue service restaurant in paris, most of them were off after lunch service. The food here is wholesome and generally good. I ordered a big size pho speciale, they used to have tripe and tendon as well in it, now only raw/cooked beef and beef balls. But it's still good, very fulfilling.

While in Paris, my brother took us there, a neighboured restaurant for him. We live in Asia and spent a lot of time in Vietnam. This is very genuine food and family service. The room was packed full, so we sat at the tables on the pavement (even more genuine?). You know it is the right place when you see... More

the food is more expensive compared to others in the area. I understand the decoration is good and maybe, the food is nice; but i do not like attitude of the staff who served my table. she spoke very little english and show us her angry face when i took her a bit more time to describe what i want... i came here to try there Bun Bo Hue as recommended but because they were opening a new store, they weren't making it till then. So i settled for a bowl of Pho, but it was very bad. the soup wasn't hot enough and the noodles were still all stuck together. But the man that serving me was super nice.

Skip the line next door at Pho 14, and go one door down to a more friendly and delicious establishment. One of the best Bo Buns ever (#9). Do not miss soup #12, Soupe de Tourane, pork-based spicy broth with yellow rice noodles and peanuts. This has to be one of the best bargains in Paris.

Been coming to this restaurant a couple times a month for the last few years - hands down the best Vietnamese food and I have tried over 15 other restos in the 13th and Belleville. Great food, super cheap and friendly staff. There are a few tables outside, even in winter when the terrace is covered. You can also go... More

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighbourhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
