This was a lovely quiet place with very well presented meals, not too bad on price compared to everywhere else in Paris the only bad thing was they wouldn't let us take a glass with us as memorabilia (so we stole it) I would say...More

Headed here after a cold walk around Paris last year. Opted to sit in covered outdoor frontage (so I could smoke)! Ordered a carafe of red and snails (of course) and a very warming bowl of French onion soup. Perfect Birthday lunch for one. Great...More

The best part was the different flavours of escargot available. The taste was average, hence I consider the hype overrated. I still rate very good due to the options. I love the blue cheese escargots. They have a giant platter with 36 escargots! Amazing! I...More

From the outside, this restaurant looks like a very good place for dinner, so we decided to give it a go. But have to say, it was a bit average and costs on the high side. The food was just ok and the service was...More

Went out of my way to get here to be able to try as many types of escargot as possible. Ended up eating 24 snails (4 different sets of 6). Cannot recommend it enough! It's located on a pedestrian street where you can go and...More

I dined here on my last night in Paris and was looking forward to it after having a lit of sub standard food in Paris. We ordered 6 snails in the traditional preparation and 6 with the garlic butter. It seemed the only difference was...More

As an escargot lover, the 24 carat one definitely disappoints you. However, the citrus salad is yummy. So don't expect you will get what you desire the most.

I visited this place several years ago when I was in Paris so I was keen to see if it was still the same. While they do have a set menu, we opted for the whole duck a'lorange which is served in two servings (they...More

At the suggestion of a French friend we stopped at L'Escargot Montorgueil because we really wanted some escargot. We ended up having not only the escargot, but also steak tartar and duck fois gras accompanied by a half carafe of Sancerre. The meal was delicious...More

There are menus in French and English. I did the same thing as you to reserve and didn't get a response so I called. They confirmed the reservation and they told me that they had seen what I sent online; I actually got an... More

I don't think so. We visited in May without reservations and were able to get a table. Go at an off-peak hour (mid afternoon), and you shouldn't have a problem.
