I went ther several times... It's very busy, quite small. However the service is really quick. Prices are ok. If you can eat hot food, just ask for extra chili...

Simple and Clean, good Food like in the streets in Indonesia. Crowded for lunch, but for a diner with friends this place is the place to be if you want memories from your last trip to Indonesia. Cheap and good no bling.

I am Indonesian who lived in Paris. From Indonesian standard, the taste here is just so so. However from price perspective, it is considerably cheaper. Since there are not many option of Indonesian food in Paris anyway, I still recommend to go here.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was delicious and filling. Also, very reasonably priced for this area. The restaurant is more like a canteen so the dishes are in paper containers. Great place to grab a quick bite. We would highly recommend this place if you are craving Indonesian food.

Being away from INdonesia for a while for our honeymoon sure makes us miss home cooking. Finding D'Jawa in France is an answer to that hunger. My wife and I dove right in once the food is served. It sure is not as good as the authentic cooking we had in Indonesia, but all in all, no complaint :) love... More

Asian restaurants are sometimes designed to suit westerner's taste, not so spicy and too expensive for what you get. D'jawa proved us wrong: it is good value, but portions are large, and above all, it has the real indonesian taste. The chef, a young french-indonesian entrepreneur, and its team were very welcoming. I had the beef rendang - my favorite... More

It's not every day you find Indonesian in Paris and this is a great introduction. There are a number of dishes at very reasonable prices and the desserts (chocolate, avocado, café all-in-one cream dessert for example) are excellent. Love the monkey décor and the atmosphere in general. Nice place to try and to try again.

Great place to eat real home-cooked food, can get busy at lunch time, but the food is always worth the wait and the staff are friendly and quick. (Beef Rendang with noodles is better than with rice, but don't tell anyone!)

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
