Small restaurant on a quaint street steps from le Champs de Mars and the Eiffel tower. Tiny kitchen but fantastic food. Short staffed the night we went, the owner and the maitre d (or the sommelier) had to step in. Started with gnocchis and lobster. Delicious . Britain lobster is smaller than his American counterpart but tastier. Followed by crispy... More

Cool, sleek, elegant restaurant on the 7th's competitive Restaurant Row. Le P'tit Troquet, long a tourist favorite is nearby, as is Pottaka, both Michelin mentioned. So, too, is Les Fables de Fontaine and Le Violin d'Ingres, both recipients of Michelin stars. But Phillipe Excoffier stands a head above them all. The usual suspects are here, but with surprising contemporary twists.... More

We had dinner here one evening. Phillipe and the staff were very cordial and the food was great! The soufflé for desert is a must.

Really great place! Elegant atmosphere, we were greeted by the owner who was very committed and helpful, and the food was really good! Is was fresh, tasteful and beautifully presented, the best restaurant we visited in Paris.

Chose this based on a recommendation from a local hotel. The 8 course meal that we ate as part of a New Year's Eve celebration. The fixed menu included some amazing dishes, none of which were below a 7 or 8 out of a 10, but only one or two were a full 10. Food-wise we could not have gone... More

We had the €40 three course meal which was wonderful. Salmon with beetroot to start with, sea bass second and cheese instead of desert. However, choose the soufflé as a desert, as some in our group did, and you will be pleasantly surprised. Photo of salmon starter included. Book in advance as this is very popular. George Bush Senior and... More

Recommend the degustation option to sample a mix of their 4 key dishes. The foie gras was particularly good, as was the pork. Soufflès are their signature desert and are stunning. With a beer each and 2 bottles of wine between 3, €100 a head and decent value for central Paris.

Been there with a group of people. The chef is very creative, the menu was outstanding from appetizer through the famous caramel souffle, which you could die for, and which you should ask for if it is not on the menu! We had a "Lobster Burger", which was a bit challenging to eat but outstanding from the taste. Wines are... More

We already knew the restaurant and decided to have our wedding meal there and we don't regret it! The Excoffiers know how to handle group meals, and are awesomely nice people, organizing everything with them was a breeze and made the whole experience a very pleasing thing. And of course, the whole lunch was perfect, the food and wine were... More

Phillipe Exoffier was a wonderful meal. Attentive staff with great service. Amazing lobster appetizer, great dinner and the souffle was fantastic. Tiny place on a quaint side street. Worth the trip for a romantic dinner.

I claim classic dishes, temperament and French technique, simmered kitchen, cleverly relieved of sauces, a kitchen that loves all products, market products and seasonal guiding the development of my card. I work cooking, treats each product with its specificities. The butter is played sparingly to keep only its nutty aromas, flavors are enriched broths and sauces, nothing is lost to the water fungi that enriches a sauce. Any excuse to magnify tastes. My lobster casserole is a bisque with cognac, slightly saffron, accompanied by vegetables from the market. My smoked bass with fennel arrives in a small casserole dish in which he has captured all the flavors of the vegetable and fresh thyme. The artichoke barigoule welcomes a truffle grated tatin artichoke and truffle juice is creamy and tasty dishes ... Buildings by associations of flavors and textures vie subtlety and simplicity. Side desserts, millefeuille with berries shows the perfection of the foliation and the greedy softness of a cream with vanilla and Grand Marnier souffle, such as caramel, sweet is my signature to which nobody can resist!
