During my time in Paris I had the chance to check out a few highly rated speakeasy cocktail lounges and bars. L'Absinthe Café came highly recommended for a traditional absinthe experience courtesy of good reviews on Trip Advisor, Facebook and Google. That might sound a...More

We stopped at the L'absinthe as walk ins. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The decor was warm and friendly and the menu offered reasonable variety. Prices were in line with the location. All in all it was a pleasant dining experience for six...More

You come here for the Absinthe! Duh! :) The absinthe variety is great as is the presentation and the experience. I enjoyed all of the ones that I tried. I did not venture into any of the absinthe cocktails, but they looked interesting - might...More

Nice location for watching crowds. Good service. Absinthe served authentic but pricey. Also as a mixed drink.

The place itself is not bad at all, nicely decorated and quite friendly personnel. Food however is really average. We had fish and chips and fish filet with potato gratin. The fried fish was just standard, quite thik and oily. The fish filet was covered...More

We went late on a cold week night & only locals were in the bar. We had great service, the bartender explained how to drink the absinthe, I've never had it traditionally that way before. Really cool atmosphere. I only wish we found it sooner.

I have to confess that I LOVE the shape of this restaurant and how the owners have designed the place. The place is situated at the point of a triangle, and the angle of the restaurant has been smartly incorporated into the décor. The owners...More

Have been to the Cafe many times on visits to Paris. Food is solid if predictable for Cafe's in Paris. This Cafe has the added benefits of being non-touristic and a haunt of locals. Staff and management are funky and fun.
