Pretensious and exagerately overpriced, too much ceremony, final result medium,a big hole in your purse, doesn't justify the visit

That was my second time at Aida. As so, it meant I liked the place very much and was looking forward. The food quality and service were great, but I now have some critics... It was clear they have decreased the food variety and cost (not price)... Now they offer an 'upgrade' to the Omakase menu and they don't offer... More

Once inside, you could easily forget what country you're in. A small, austere space; a counter with ten places; the gracious chef with his sous chefs preparing perfect plates of fish and meat and vegetables both raw, and cooked on a teppan. As good a meal as any we've had in several trips to Japan. Our new favorite restaurant in... More

Extremely fresh japanese set menu (160 euros per person) (and wine is not cheap also). I would not have been outside a special occasion. 10 seats around the chef and another 4 in a small room and that's it. You're in for a treat with many small dishes, including raw and cooked fish and also two beef dishes. The cook... More

Has a meal here on a Friday night. As you enter you are entering a typical traditional style Japanese restaurant. We had our own room with sunken floor, shoes off, bamboo walls and slate roof etc. The service is excellent as we had one person looking just after us the whole time. The food was trial delicious. Top quality and... More

Long time hearing about Aida, supposed to be the best japanese restaurant in Paris. Very small restaurant, most of the guests packed sitting in at the too narrow conuter watching the chef prepare all the food in front of you. Teppankaki style (a la plancha) food: 160 euro tasting menu, the price of the best restaurants in the world. Teppanyaki... More

The best Japanese in Paris. To be honest you could never find the food like this even in Japan. Most of the materials are from France and Europe. The best mixture of Japanese cooking art and the French vegetables, fishes. I loved the halibut and mackerel Sashimi, some are fresh, some are well-aged just right. Frontier who create new world... 1 star at the Guide Michelin. Coming back to Europe after living in Tokyo, this restaurant is beyond my expectations. Everything is authentic, inspiring and reminds me of Japan. Art in a kitchen. Hint: ask for the separate room if you are over 6, the service is a must.

Food is very good, fresh ingredients cooked in front of you by Mr Aida, everything is tasty from starters to desserts, but its way to expensive both the set meal and wine... Based on this standard other Japanese restaurant deserve a star as well!
