Apicius has rapidly become one of our favorite restaurants in Paris. Jean-Pierre Vigato, the chef, well-deserves hi Michelin star. Located in a gorgeous and well-maintained french chateau, surrounded by a well-manicured garden, the restaurant is also beautiful inside. It is light, airy, spacious and well decorated. Service is superb, efficient and the food, a delight to all the senses. Every... More

If you want a meal in style, this is the place to go. A maginicient mansion, tastefully arranged with amazing service. The cuisine is clearly top notch but, to me, with a lack of sparkle. A bit too traditional. That is probably what keeps them from a coveted 2 or 3 star. The wine list is excellent including some high-value... More

If you have something very special to celbarte (and have booked sufficiently ahead), you are likely to have a dream experience at Apicius, a relatively down-to-earth culinary heaven. The chef owner Jean-Pierre Vigato is very much involved, imagining special daily dishes based on best market finds. The flavors are incredible. The decor is very serene, quite elegant. We had a great... More

The service was perfect, sommelier, maitre d'hotel and waiters were utterly competent, and did not get involved in our privacy, only to check if everything was ok on a regular basis. Chef Jean-Pierre Vigato came over to see us and was super friendly. We had a "menu decouverte" with wines being paired with every dish perfectly, from appetizers to a... More

Having been there several times, this is clearly one of the best restaurants in Paris that is an unsung hero among the Michelin guide (?seriously, one star?). Set in a fabulous old Chateau in the 8th arrondisement, the grounds are beautifully lit with amazing art installations. There are numerous rooms, each beautifully designed in an understated fashion. We chose the... More

Why just one star? It was my first visit and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The way you are greeted, seated and served is outstanding. The right balance between caring and not caring too much. I had the spider crab for started and then we shared a grilled veil chop. Rather basic but there in my humble... More

It was my first visit and I have been very surprised. When I arrived rue d'Artois I couldn't imagine a restaurant behind these high walls in number 20. Furthermore when I walked in the park at night I saw only some lights at the back of a large garden. There was Apicius which occupies a 19th century mansion hidden behind... More

We have been going to Apicius since its early days. We love Chef Vigato's cooking and believe it is one of the best (if not the best) in Paris. We had not come to Paris fro a few years and was sad to see that Michelin had taken away one of the stars. We booked a lunch as soon as... More

Incredible meal in a fantastic setting. The food was on point and the service was top notch. Don't forget the dessert as the soufflé is the best I've ever had.
